Nice car but has comfort seats and imho the ‘rare’ pts colour thing which used to be
ultra desirable has become slightly diminished simply because Porsche are now allocating
stacks more pts build slots
I think it’s slightly diminished by being baby puke yellow
i'd characterise that more as baby st!

£900 here for my 991.2

No speeding tickets, 34 yo
Looks reasonable depending on your postcode. About the same as my 991.2

Premiums up ££ across most cars and all these easily nicked Range Rovers across London and the South East aren't helping either.

The number of insurers prepared to cover Porsche GTs appears to be dwindling and all but a couple including NFU now insist on tracker.

I was told that at leat one insurer is now refusing to insure any JLR product. Not only thefts but parts availability too which I guess means it is taking a lot longer to repair accident damage so courtesy car costs etc

The latter could very well apply to Porsche’s too given some of the stories about parts availability.

Thanks for all the insurance chat and premiums especially, I've told them my GT3 is worth £185K now, thanks to this thread hehe, so they are making some enquiries but doesn't sound hopeful. The comparison sites put me at £3700 odd cheapest, anyone else out there got a recent renewal/quote on a 992GT3 6000 miles pa ?

A year or two back when I got quotes for my Taycan, our business insurer, NFU, was not covering Teslas because of the inordinate amount of time they were off the road in the event of needing parts or repairs.

I do fear for JLR in general though.

I'm paying about 1% of the vehicle value. Classicline and Lockton were similar premiums. Have you tried them? Presume car is standard with Tracker?

If they are coming out over £2K, I would ask why? Is it due to the SP30s, which seems harsh, but possible. Insurers normally let one go, but load the premium if multiple, but I still wouldn't think it would make a premium over £3K

Makes sense doesn’t it! Never even occurred to me if I am honest.

I used Classicline for years and then they went rogue on a new Mclaren in about 2018 and gave a silly quote and wouldn't relent so I moved my cars from them, not tried Locktons yet.
I have asked why the £3247 premium, like you say 1 or even 1.5% max I would've thought should be more like it.

I’ve always loved the GT3 but I couldn’t live with the ugly black front splitter
on the winged 992 gt3, I wish it was exterior colour matched like the Touring version.
Comfort seats but no front lift? I know some people say lift is unnecessary but if it's a daily spec then why not stick lift on, just in case?

If you are a PCGB member, Locktons give a discount, I understand.

Good luck!

i'd be 100% in for practicality over frivolous cosmetics but i know not everyone thinks like me.

Mmm Footman James no go, no driving to work allowed and no modifications so they’re not interested.

Have you tried Footman James Toby?
Very good have cars with mods no issue track cover no mileage limit annually.

I've just realised that was Footman James I spoke with who don't want to quote for cars with mods or if driving to work even a few times per month, not sure how you've managed to sneak a modded car in there ?

I've used both insures above as well as Footman James for any Porsche I use for track days. I tried all three a few weeks ago as well as Manning. Manning no longer cover track days and the most expensive. The other three were similar but ClassicLine were both the cheapest and offered by far the best cover for track days.
Locktons were a close second but have recently changed policy to only cover PCGB track days with strictly no exceptions. I'm with ClassicLine for the second year but worth trying Lockton if you either don't do track days or only PCGB ones.
