Anyone for ‘T’

Why ditch useful practicality for a misty-eyed vision of a car from 50 years ago? LW glass = no heated rear window and I'm slightly reassured by the (not much) extra privacy of the darkened glass. If I want a bit of extra exhaust noise (I don't), I can drop the window a bit.
One of the best parts of the T is the engine noise, and there's no shortage of that.
isn't the engine noise the same as the base 911? One of the best parts of the T is the engine noise, and there's no shortage of that.
I suppose the question is if you're buying a T then why not save money and get a base car

Well… Yes, it’s the same base engine but I think my T sounds better than the manual S I test drove.I suppose the question is if you're buying a T then why not save money and get a base car
The T is more distinctive, it’s the only one for which you could order the rather nice T interior pack, and there aren’t many of them around. Given that it’s regarded as being a good drive, it sounds like a decent proposition to me.

It is the small differences that actually make the T as a package.
Factor in the rarity with limited numbers and you will have a 911 which will retain its desirability and value long after a basic 911 has been forgotton.
Especially as there won't even be a 992 T now.

I would agree with a lot of others on here, a manual T with rear seats would be a superb car both as a daily (if you have young kids) and a long term proposition. Just so few about.
Disappointing that there won't be a 992 T. The rumours of a 4.0L NA engine going in made it sound like the perfect final petrol car for the enthusiast.

Dr S - did you post this purchase on one of the Facebook groups? Car looks fab. I think it is parked next to mine in this 7T years of Porsche picture from Porsche Bolton?
kith, after 4 years, and 20k miles, I am really starting to see mine as a long term proposition. So hard to replace.

nice one what spec is it? Manual, 2-4 seats? Miles?
Manual, 2 seats and 13k miles. PDLS and T interior pack plus seat backs in leather and contrast stitching but that’s it for options.I’d have loved buckets and PCCB but I really wanted speed yellow! Plus it seemed cheap in the market.
