Anyone for ‘T’

Folding buckets were available from memory , l remember considering them as you could keep the rear seats.
Although they weren’t an option along with the T interior.
I’d imagine there’s not that many cars with them.
Ah maybe that's it - the T interior was a must-have for me. Although they weren’t an option along with the T interior.

Just to confirm the 918 seats in any car are a no no for me after trying them when the 981 gt4 was launched but the folding buckets after having in 2 cars which have been around for a long time up until 2020 I find extremely comfortable but they are not essential with a car like the T the standard sport seats are good enough.
I was told by my dealer the 992 T is unlikely as the T also relates to the older models with the 2010’s interiors, dash etc…and hence there is no Panamera T, no Cayenne T and no Taycan T… Cross Turismo T etc …..his thinking was also it’s a moment in time like the original T was…..
Whether that is made up or not I don’t know but from a Porsche perspective kind of makes sense.
I’d like a 992 T, but as there was no 991 Sport Classic for example.. so no real continuity per cycle …. is Porsche just moving on..?

As suggested above, 992T later this year is what I understand.
If I particularly wanted a T variant, I think I would be tempted to wait for this, as it may be of more interest than the previous Gen, and the values are likely to correct themselves.
The 991T confused people when it was introduced, but it was originally Porsche’s response to the criticism that they weren’t providing a simplified enthusiasts’ car to a wider audience, only limited numbers GT cars to the more exclusive end of the market.
As it was, many 991Ts were ‘up-specd’, somewhat defeating the object.
Hopefully, the next generation will have more clarity, although, again, I wouldn’t expect it to be enormously significant, as the T models in the other ranges are still fairly subtle. We shall see.

991 T values won't be impacted at all by the remote possibility of there being a 992 which as I say is very very unlikely. If I particularly wanted a T variant, I think I would be tempted to wait for this, as it may be of more interest than the previous Gen, and the values are likely to correct themselves.
The last of the narrow bodied Carreras and low numbers together with the large price increases of new 992s and increasing lead times will mean 991 T prices will remain high.
For the record I sold mine at 18 months old and still miss it.

Agreed. They were limited numbers sold in the UK. Of those, very few have been specced as a 'T'.The last of the narrow bodied Carreras and low numbers together with the large price increases of new 992s and increasing lead times will mean 991 T prices will remain high.

This document has been posted on a T Facebook forum as evidence that the 992T is coming as a 2023 MY car. I don’t know the purpose of the document but note that it dates from April.
If so, I’ll be interested to see where they go with it, I guess it will be exciting and dear or a bit of a damp squib…

The T now seems part of Porsche’s formulaic pattern, following the Boxster/Cayman/Macan Ts.
Personally I hope it will be a base model with a manual gearbox and a few bespoke mods and a list price below the S.
Availability may be an issue as it could be a popular choice - not everyone likes the hi-tech, hi-spec, hi-priced 992s and would prefer something simpler and purer and cheaper.

Picked my T up yesterday and had a nice four hour drive home! So far absolutely love it. Feels nimble and small and I wasn’t expecting that.
Not sure if I paid over the top being OPC, but it seems to be a really nice 1 owner 8k miles example. Looked at a couple from specialists and they were a bit cheaper, but had lots of previous owners with higher mileages.
Only 3 more sleeps to go!
