How would you spec your 992 GTS?

The lightweight package includes the 918 buckets which also deletes the rear seat. If you want the use of rear seats then you can't spec the lightweight package, or just thr buckets for that matter, as both will see the rears seats removed.
I wouldn’t have the lightweight package because of the rear seat delete, but there is a separate option to still have the lightweight glass.paul0843 said:
A well specked manual lightweight car with 918s will IMO always be a desirable car .
Ceramics would make it even more special.
its not something you need to option though, like some models, I'd say most people run GTSs as a daily, if you were looking for a lightweight car, you'd probably be looking at a T?Ceramics would make it even more special.
Same with ceramics, I would avoid a car with them because of the ridiculous cost to replace them.
My personal opinion is to spec the car how you want to enjoy it, not what the next person is going to want.

I think buckets make it very special, and would happily put up with them in daily use.
I am actually very disappointed that I cannot spec them on the gts cab I have coming in q1.
To me, spec’ing a GTS with buckets and rear seat delete is just an admission that the person couldn’t get a GT3 allocation.
That may well in case be the case, but that doesn’t make such a spec more desirable as would think most GTS buyers are after something that can accommodate children when needed (albeit probably not used to do so that often) and just want something sportier than the 4S.

Alright guys. I’ve not been on here for years but have been doing my homework on 992 GTS lately. Yesterday I had my order accepted for a 2 GTS this will be my first Porsche. Apparently I’m number 10 on the list so a long way off the allocation but I’m not in a hurry as I’m working abroad for another year. Been told Q4 next year but I’d prefer 2023 March. Not decided yet on spec I think I have around 12 different configurations.
This is the latest. The colour I’m not sure on though

you should test drive a PDK and a Manual before committing to your spec. No right or wrong decision, but this being your first Porsche you'd be wise to try a few out first. I get the sense your homework has been just that, from home. This is the latest. The colour I’m not sure on though

Because I’m stuck in Kuwait until next year sometime and I needed to get the order in asap I don’t have the option of going and test driving cars. a3simon said:

...but appreciate there could be many factors that prevent you going there, but figured to share a link in case you didn't realise.
I was at PEC Silverstone Monday gone and did my full experience in the 992 C2 GTS with PDK. Apparently I was the first person to do the experience in that particular 992 GTS, car only had 150 odd miles on it. I cannot fault the car in anyway, it literally blew me away. I did the following:
- Acceleration and brake tests with and without Launch Control. (Brutal acceleration and brakes, felt a bit queasy after all the hard braking)
- Drove around both handling circuits, pushed on and learnt good skills from the instructor.
- Skid pan and drift control
- Kick plate
- Even got to take it on the road for around 20 mins to experience what suspension was like in the real world.
I'm in love and I can't wait to get mine even more now. To top it off the weather was nice, bright and dry, albeit a bit cold but that's better for the engine and performance![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
You lucky chaps that are getting yours now, I'm struggling to sleep now and mine is months away so can only imagine what you gents are going through lol.

I drove the Blue Targa in the Morning, that had 28 Miles on it. Agree with all you say the 992 GTS is big step up this time round over the likes of the C2s.- Acceleration and brake tests with and without Launch Control. (Brutal acceleration and brakes, felt a bit queasy after all the hard braking)

how was it on the road,as harsh as some of the reviews suggest, were the roads your were on smooth - Acceleration and brake tests with and without Launch Control. (Brutal acceleration and brakes, felt a bit queasy after all the hard braking)

We went on some B roads and some of them were typically rubbish as we're used to in this country. For me, the suspension was perfectly liveable with as I'm coming from an M4 Comp which is known to have stiff and bouncy suspension, and the 992 GTS was actually much better than that, I think the comfy sports seats helps as well. I can understand it being a bit firm for some people but not as harsh as some reviews have suggested IMHO.Schuey_911 said:

thats good to hear, would be a shame if they made it too firm.i have left spasm in so roll on feb or might wait till march for 22 reg

I've left SPASM in also, prefer the looks of the ride height too with it.
Have you got an allocation?
the ride height differance is so small,it will hardly be noticed,i was just concerned that it would be to stiff in comfort mode where most of the road use will properly be Have you got an allocation?
its getting made jan/feb, delivery feb/march
