if you won £53 million on Euromillions tonight, would you think twice about paying £300k for a car that you wanted and couldn't buy new from an OPC?

Or if you cashed out your Bitcoin at the right time/ sold a business and made millions/ earn £500k a week as a superstar footballer/ ets, etc....

There are people out there who wouldn't think twice about paying these levels of overs - if it makes little material difference to their cash levels, then they could hardly be classed as crazy - just a supply and demand thing and people at the highest levels often want things and want them quickly.

I wouldn't think twice if I fitted into one of these categories, but unfortunately for now, I'll just keep on working towards it biggrin

Spec'ing my dream GT3 was because I bought a lottery ticket for tonight haha

Even with £53 mill in the bank I'd struggle to part with that level of overs (I am a tight Yorkshire man mind)

agreed - it is like when I buy something at Zara - if I like the color of the item that costs 30 instead of 20 euros, then I will just take that even if it gives me no measurable benefit over the cheaper one. The 10er is probably more important to my financial position than 100k is to quite a few people. Did a fun boe calculation a while ago that the 50-100m running costs for the yacht of some billionaire is less as a percentage of net worth than what I spent in running costs on one of my cars last year, let alone all of them - he would have to run a fleet to equate my financial commitment to cars ...

Agree its a crazy price but having regard to the relatively low numbers of new 992 GT3s coming through atm and amount of money sloshing around and very strong car market in general together with a few months left yet of good weather I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone buys it.

My thoughts also. I'd only keep it until I finally got a slot to order a new one to spec myself anyway. laugh

I see them having to start dropping the price on this, surely no one I’ll be interested at that level, it’s pretty much the norm for the first cars to be up for crazy money, some sell and some don’t. I have to say that the 991/991.2 generations cars are starting to look and feel there age in my opinion off course.
Reduced by £35k already 😂 still got another £80k to go 😂

It they substitute the 2 for a 1 then it might make sense. At £300k you can buy a very nice Pista or even better a 991.2GT2 RSlick

But he is driving it on a track, hardly a typical 'road'

Great review from one of my favourite reviewers. Some people don't realise what a fantastic gifted driver Steve Sutcliffe is. Very underrated.

Agree on SS, also he's lost a boat load of weight!

Anyone who pays a penny over £200k for the 992GT3 is pretty daft IMO. You can get a nice hardly driven 2018 991.2GT3 RS(Non WP) for that money and where my money would go personally.
Nothing makes sense any more regarding the recent spike in all asset classes..

What about £220k for a 991.2 Touring? Yes, it's the everything bubble...
