Well done. The GTS pack is a must have for a GTS; future owners will be so thankful. I went for rhodium/silver as it's a close match for the exterior which is very light grey.Then during the 8 month wait, I went a bit mad and added in leather air vents, full leather dash, leather fuse box covers, leather sills, leather seat backs - all with contrast stitching. Oh and I had the Alcantara wheel stitched too. I'm sure it makes the car handle better.

Grigio Campovolo I believe...OPC Glasgow had a 991 GTS in GC at the end of last year which had a duck tail. I ummed and erred and do ever so slightly regret not buying it...
At the time I couldn't find decent pics and the ones the OPC had made the car look much whiter than it actually is.

The Grigio Campovolo one is beautiful! Part of me wishes I'd gone for the Voodoo GTS at Cardiff but the timing was wrong. It's the contrast stitching that's the killer on price. I've been specing a Macan turbo and the contrast stitching option alone is £2100 !jay2000 said:
How does Porsche justify the cost for contrast stitching vs normal stitching? Surely the cost for the colour of the thread is nominal.
They don't have too. There's plenty of punters, me included, who'll tick the boxes on that damn configurator.The stitching, whether black or colour is applied once in the manufacturing process and I should think that the cost difference between colour is marginal and probably limited to time taken to change the bobbins.
Other items, such as the steering wheel, are special orders. I was told that for this item, the car goes to the Custom Tailoring dept where an already manufactured wheel in standard black stitching has it's cover removed and then re-sewen by hand in the chosen colour. At least that is what I was told and I like to believe that an artisan who spent at least 10 years as an apprentice, qualifying as a Master Steering Wheelsmith, poured hours of his skill into creating my wheel.

Grigio Campovalo is stunning in the flesh. My local opc in Glasgow had one and looked amazing. Congrats. After 9 months and 9k miles, it still looks new. I haven't cleaned it yet but it seems to be a simple job when the time comes.The Alcantara on the driver's seat (used all the time) looks exactly the same as the rear seat (never been used). No scratches, no wear - it's tough stuff.

I've bought an alcantara brush and leave it in the car and make sure I brush the seats and steering wheel regularly to keep the pile looking good. works really well. Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
