I have seen a Midnight Blue C4S on Platinum alloys, it looked superb. I think the colour of my wheels is pretty close to the GT3 colour and it was done through my OPC, very happy with the result. They show so many different shades depending on the angle of the light on the spokes, some can look silver, some grey and others really dark or bronze, also helps to show off the detail which you lose with black. They are also not bad for showing brake dust which is a personal pet hate.

Thanks for the feedback. Also meant to say the car will have GTechniq ceramic coating so hopefully if I go Night Blue that will help to protect it, I take great care of my cars so should be fine. Thanks...

My 997.2 C2 is midnight blue and I had it ceramic coated last March ... it's still shiny shiny and the dirt just melts away

Some great looking GTS variants on this thread, hope you guys are enjoying them..

I am contemplating placing an order as they seem to be the complete all round package and the reviews they get in the press are simply amazing. Yes, I would like a GT3 but no rear seats means it's a no for me, even if I could get one!

The spec I have chosen on the configurator takes it near £125k so I am thinking perhaps to knock a few things off to bring the price down a touch. Do you think for pretty much daily use the PCCB will be a wise choice?

How are the owners that have purchased a GTS having previously owned GT3's finding them?

Cormeist, your GTS looks stunning. I think you have nailed the specification!

The yellow calipers of the PCCB go so well with the Graphite Blue

Hello all,

I have a tricky question here. I have a new GTS November build December delivery. I have just been informed the car has completed production and will be in the UK in the next couple of weeks, Great news! However I will not be in the UK the whole of December and local OPC is insisting they have to deliver and register it in December 2017 because it is a 2017 build slot. What is the difference for me if the car is 2017 build or 2018 build? Does it have any implication on the age of the car?

Usually, the OPC will let you take delivery in 2018 unless they did you a deal on tha basis it is 2017? In any event, i think it's irrelevant now. I collected my 987 Spyder on 10th December, and another car on 20th December (I could not wait) and I don't think it has any impact on value anymore. It will be a 67 plate regardless of when you pick it up.

Porsche experience day
Hi, I have my day booked for the 18th December in the GTS prior to build lock down on the 26th January. I would be interested to know what the format of the day is from anyone that has experienced it, anything you would suggest to try or stood out as beneficial to your choices on build spec?
Many thanks

Thanks for the response! When I come to sell it will I be selling it as a 2017 car or 2018 car?

Can I ask when you would expect to take delivery if you have to spec by 26th Jan?

I have been told spec would need to be finalised by beginning of Jan with an expected delivery for March.

With regards to the PEC. I have been before, it’s fun. I would try different specs of the GTS and see if there are any options you prefer over others. I am particularly interested to try one with RWS

Has anybody driven a 991.2 GTS Coupe and GTS Targa back to back & can offer any advice please?

Does the Targa feel heavier and less responsive due to the extra weight & 4 wheel drive or realistically would it be difficult to notice much difference?
Any downsides to the Targa - wind buffeting, etc?

I was about to pull the trigger on a GTS (with glass sunroof) but thought I best explore the Targa option just in case worth the extra outlay as this will be a keeper.... pre-order jitters!! Thanks

Once you get it, you may never sell it smile In any event, you will sell it as a 67 plate car. I don't think people really car when you picked it up and what registration year it is. I may be wrong but I wouldn't give it a second thought if I was buying it.

Your car will be a model year (MY) 2018 (all 991.2 cars built since June 17 I think). It will inevitably be the year it was first registered, but after a few years there will be only a small difference (if any) to the value.

It was very difficult to find a build slot for a Targa GTS earlier this year - not sure if the situation has improved. It is a heavier car - most people buy a Targa for it's looks or as an alternative to a Cabrio. Glass sunroof is nice on the Coupe, some owners in the past found it rattled but I've seen no complaints of this problem on the new cars, and mine is fine after 4k miles.

Total 911 did a review of all three 991.1 GTS models i.e. Coupe, Cab and Targa a year or two ago. In short the Targa was the least dynamic but that was with the old NASP engine...new Targa with the torque of the turbo motor is probably the car to benefit most.

You'll do well to get a Targa GTS build slot though...if your OPC has one grab it!!!!

I went yesterday and it was great fun.

I tried 2wd PDK and manual cars and was very impressed by both. Both cars had a plethora of (wallet draining) options and a load of driving/performance features that I didn't really know about. I'm glad I went after my build was locked or my already smashed budget would have taken a further battering (although it didn't stop a little tweak with the help of my OPC). Speak to your "Consultant" and ask questions about what the cars can do, they really know their stuff and are happy to tell you about them. I found the PED fun, flexible and nicely informal plus I learnt a lot. The 'Kick Plate" was especially enjoyable.

Get there nice and early. We arrived by 8.30 am and had a nice breakfast plus looked around the exhibits. When you meet your driver, give him/her a clear idea of what you want to achieve from the day. Then it’s a case of driving as you want to, not how others are. My wife and shared the driving and still had plenty of time to have a go on all the different sections. After the morning finished, a nice 3 course lunch was provided. It was great fun.
