LOL - who knows then...

Most people think they're ugly anyway... so getting an allocation will be no problem!!

Mid Q2 first cars will be delivered. Around 15K increase in price over 991 and 515hp. Touring to follow maybe 4-5 months after.

Haha agree I turned one down already.

Reckon the price specced up will be £150k+ plus poss Brexit surcharge.

Looks portentially expensive.

More Tourings for sale than Manual Gt3's at OPC's now.

3 v 2 .

and a growing glut of PDK's (14) so a sure fine way the 992 is close, but the manual winged owners are staying put.
What are you hearing about when the 992 GT3 is announced?
End of Jan
The Petersen Museum were auctioning an allocation for a “Porsche GT car to be announced in January” on Briing a Trailer about a month ago. Lot got withdrawn though. Wonder if that means it’s been delayed....or Porsche just changed their mind.

the Touring launch was goodwood 2020 so it's been done for ages, I wonder now if they have fine tweaked it to be better and better with all this extra ring time they have had.

The Touring will be the choice for most people imo and will sell more, what we need to see is the luggage space on the new design.

thing is the winged 991.2 GT3 is the holy grail of cars where it stands today in manual form, many owners don't lust after 15 bhp or OPF/PPF/GPF 's hence we are not seeing the numbers for sale rise like the other models.

if you want faster buy the PDK and newer and newer cars, but I don't know any manual GT3 991.2 owner who has said "I want more power"

PDK's will always be loads for sale now, any mainstream PDK owner wishes they owned the RS models imo and as these have dropped it's a very nice upgrade for Auto drivers.

1: Will the normal GT3 now outlap the OLD RS at the ring, it should do in theory.

2: And the the BIG question is will the RS have a 4.2l engine ?

3: I don't see a £15k rise over the old model so I put my neck out on that, £128k on the road base price, I doubt.

No one knows for sure there appears to have been a cock up on the figures.

Do appear to be fewer manuals though.

622 UK cars in total including 40 odd manual tourings.

Having regard to the so called and relative unicorn status and price of the 991.2 Touring it will be intersting to see whether the 992 Touring is ordered in much higher numbers this time at the expense of the winged GT3.

I recently had a chat with my local OPC, was supposed to September 2020 launch before COVID threw a spanner in the works, they now expect January 2021 launch with delivery early Q2, small price increase over 991.2
They also said an electric Cayman could be on the way!

The 991.2 had a £10k price increase over the 991.1 as did the 718 GT4 etc so £125k to £130k basic for the 992 GT3 looks realistic.

I think that will very much be the case....especially with the size of the wing from pictures we've seen. If they went even further and offered the Touring with PDK then I think I would comfortably be the best selling variant.

There is also chatter of a rear seat option for the GT3 Touring.. howls of horror from the GT3 crowd.. not really a GT3 etc

It's very very odd they didn't offer touring with pdk,no doubt the touring will be much more popular this a time round and ultimately therefore command less of a premium than the 991 touring did,if gt3s command a premium at all, because I think people are fed up of the farce.

Should have the rear seats and drop the GT3 name tag in the 1st place.

Mr Demon, You know that the 991.2 Touring will become even more valuable if they sell a load of 992 Tourings. It will become even more of a unicorn. An accidentally low volume GT3. There’s fewer 991 Tourings than the cars that bears your name.

Yes, I think we've passed "peak wing". Oddly, non-Porsche/non-car people often tend to prefer the look of the non-RS derivatives, because the RS looks, to them, too "racecar".

As you say, with the intent of the Touring, it is curious that PDK was not at least an option.
