There were a lot of GTS made last year , quick calculation from howmanyleft, there were over 380 coupes registered , says there were only 12 base Carrera models registered last year, does that make them a limited edition and worth more money? argue

Also surprised how many don’t have the Gts interior package, I know it’s an expensive option but thought it was a must have for most.
I have a GTS cab which I suspect will be due Q2 or 3 potentially. However I don’t much fancy the GTS interior and wondered what the wisdom was instead going for the Extended Leather with Mat Carbon. Will that make it potentially less desireable down the line or is it a decent compromise?

I have the GTS interior pack on mine and love it, really makes the interior feel special. I've seen many without it and for me it just doesn't make the cabin feel special enough for the price of the car.

I think that's a decent compromise to be fair and depends on what kind of look you're going for in the car.

I think GTS Interior Pack with all the Race-Tex (Alcantara), contrast coloured stitching and dials gives it that very sporty/racey feel.

Extended Leather will give it the more luxury look and perhaps more suited to a 992 Cab.

Who are people insured with?

I've just tried to add my GTS onto my multi-car insurance with LV and they won't insure it.
Admiral
Great shout - got a fantastic price from them. NFU were good, but still 50% more than Admiral and Adrian Flux were nearly 3 times the Admiral price. Plus didn't need to activate the tracker with Admiral which saves £280 for the year.

I went full leather in my Targa. Thinking was if it were to get wet it wouldn't be as much as an issue as racetex.

Had alcantara in my previous two GTS 911's, and prior to the Targa was of the firm opinion that GTS cars need alcantara and centre locks. Probably still think that for coupe's, but ultimately just spec what you want.

Sounds nice Hobo and probably perfect for a Targa, touch of elegance especially with your colour of car! smile

Race Tex seems nice but as time goes on the steering wheel starts to look tired. Much prefer full leather.

That looks stunning, loving the Python Green. What interior have you gone with?
That pic was from a Porsche demo day at Stapleford Hall in early December iirc.

I had a quote from Admiral vs NFU and then read the reviews...

As said, I went full leather seats in mine, but nothing really to do with the quality of race-tex/alcantara as have had it on previous cars and had no issue whatsoever in keeping it looking new.

I did add alcantara options to my car, as still think the GTS needs this, as its in its DNA (along with centre locks). I have the heating carbon racetex steering wheel, racetex centre/armrest and racetex vanity mirrors (or whatever they are called).

Currently spec'ing the next (replacement) car, which I ordered on collection of the current one, and the interior is still the bit I'm unsure about which way to go. Currently going full leather again, with 930 pack, but keep changing my mind. That and whether to go Signal Yellow or Dark Olive Metallic (currently at the latter).

My 2nd GTS car also that I ordered when I specked up current Targa 4GTS around 16 Months ago, goes into Build next month. This time round have gone for a 2WD GTS Cab, with Full GTS Interior in Gentian Blue, RWS, -10mm which is fine when left in normal mode even for a Cab, as long as the Psi are set to the lower ones. I did think about leather with 930 pack, but after 3 GTS with this decided to go for a change.Good to hear the race-tex wears well.

Regular brushing and mild cleaning of the Alcantara with an appropriate product, and it keeps it in tip top condition.

Correct! Apparently they’re knocking it down and building it back on 3 storeys soon… can’t be doing bad!

Stupid question time…..do these cars not have remote climate? Or did I miss this as an optional extra?

Good question, do you mean when you can adjust remotely from the phone app? Because I was thinking this the other day, not that I ever used it on my previous BMW M4 Comp or the wife's 5 Series. My car is garaged so temp inside the car is always fine and so doesn't bother me.

However, be good to know the answer to your question.
