Thanks for the info, much appreciated as always. The exhaust was originally on a .2 GT3, do the tail pipes not exit in the same place on the bumper but were just a different shape? I’m fitting the original end pipes as the exhaust is supplied without them:

Honest answer, I'm not sure if the Mk1 and 2 exhaust recesses in the bumper are at the same height relative to the silencer/tailpipe flange. There's only one way to find out ... smile

What I would say is, that exhaust could be quite noisy !! The bore of the pipework doesn't look particularly big (I think the M&M/Manthey bore is 63mm IIRC)

I guarantee you this will be noisy as Hell. I struggle to get on most UK track days with 105 static. Brands is 15mins from my garage to the pits and I have been thrown off so many times I don’t even bother anymore. And my silencers are double the size of the ones in the picture... You have been “warned”...

Back when i was doing a good few track days i got thrown off Brands in my Cayman GT4 and a Lotus Exige S.

The noise limits are never high there i found whereas Snetterton for example i never struggled.

Any pics of your car?
Be nice to have a few more pictures on here as we can't go out and drive our cars

Yep, I heard they had eggs at Waitrose this morning, had to get a scoot on : tongue out

It was sunny when I set off, a few miles down the road it was raining, and by the time I was heading back, it was snowing

The noise these make with a good exhaust is simply mental. I'm pretty sure I've heard one just like that wink

Mesmerising.

Clocking on a bit in a few places there, 8.5k in 6th at one point in the wet. short ratios no doubt but still. What’s the Seq ‘box in the 996?

Most likely a Hollinger, though Quaife made a suitable ‘box too.

Sold the black one to pay for my wedding, took a Cayman R in p/x - great car.

Yellow is a much higher spec, ohlins, rss, gaurds diff etc. Not as clean but perfect for my track days.
