As I understand it, the PDK variant has an electronically controlled limited slip diff.

It would be good to know whether Bose will ever be an option. I'm guessing probably not - similar for buckets and ceramics.
buckets were an option when first launched. The Top Gear review was of it with buckets. Pretty sure ceramics too were available at the start - though I can't be 100% on that, but 100% on buckets.
Madness to me that people obviously want buckets and/or ceramics yet are not willing to wait it out and happy to pay that amount for a car that isn't their ideal spec. Crazy to me, but each to their own.

Supply chain bottlenecks, do keep up at the back….!

Besides, I want rear seats

Fully aware...but that is not the point to my post. I am pointing out why not wait it out.

Many of these parts may not become available during the production life of the Carrera T

That I feel would be an impossibility.

Buckets, PCCBs and BOSE were never an option on the UK configurator even at launch. Only a few press cars had them fitted. I've got a deposit on one since last September but no allocation as of yet. Will probably switch to the 992.2 since I also have a 4RS arriving this month.

So my OPC I am next in the list to get an allocation for a T. They are now expecting their next allocation from Porsche in June / July (and it will be one!). Had a deposit for a 992 since Dec 22.

I am positive the configurator had buckets on day one.

No, it’s not been an option on the configurator for the UK. Neither has Bose sound or PCCB

I stand corrected then. Must have been a press car thing as many reviews out there have the buckets. Well, I guess only a matter of time until they become available.

The Porsche global configurator originally had buckets on there but not the UK (or US) one. They did look nice!

Lucky you, I am guessing this might be the last release of allocations if as anticipated the 992.2 is launched from MY24

992.2 wont be launching until March-April 2024 from what ive seen on IG. Plenty of time to build quite a few T's!

What is IG? Is it a credible source of unconfirmed rumours?

I have not seen official press release.

Yes, breaking with convention, and rather than doing a factory re-tool for the new car in the 4 week summer shutdown in August, they’ll do it instead on a single weekend in April….sounds credible to me…!

Porsche has over 1,300 suppliers who make millions of parts. Having worked in OEM automotive engineering, they’ll all know what they’re supplying and when.
