Thanks. That was my take on it. So to get 911 in the headrest it’s either grey or green T package.

I have 10 days to decide on my final spec. GT Silver, RS Rpyder, 7MT, … few other bits.

My lizard brain is telling me get aerokit and my frontal cortex counters don’t be silly, keep it modest.

I get the GT arguments, but if one keep the 911 T badge on, there is no confusion, just a small grin. Isn’t it what’s it for?

Fight!

The aero with a simple “911” badge looks great to me. It’s not like your pretending to be a 992 GT3 given its a different aero. Anyway, 99.5% if the population havent a clue, to them it’s just a Porsche!

I think the medical term for that is “executive function “.
It’s when one stands at the edge of a cliff and has the urge to jump off. The old EF should click in after a second and go - bad idea!
However I’m not at all suggesting how you spend your own money!

And what executive would that be?

Sales exec - buy the kit and take matching PD watch!
Marketing exec - definitely buy, pref in carbon finish
Finance exec - NO!
Procurement exec - let’s find a cheaper alternative on Amazon
HR exec - how does it make you feel?
Production exec - does it improve productivity?
…?

I agree with the sentiment, @finmac.
However, I think I will keep the standard badge. If it is a short-run model, it will be more unique.

Personally I think the wing would ruin the T! Just my opinion but I couldn’t imagine one on a 991T.

Completely up to you of course Pivo!

I agree with others here, and I wouldn’t get the aerokit…..but I would get the sports design front apron. I’ve included it on mine

If the ducktail from the sport classic was a factory option I would be all over it. The sport design pack on the 991 t did have a “duck lip” on the rear and was quite a rare option.

Exactly it’s your decision. Since you put it on the forum, l imagine you’re gauging opinion- I’d leave the spoilers.

That is the issue… I have not seen one IRL

It reminds me a little of Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth, which was way over the top!

I thought the whole essence of the T was simplicity, and to my eyes aero kits and unnecessary addenda just spoil the purity of the 911 shape - even on the relatively porky 992.

I tend to agree although it feels like the dealers are incentivised on trying to get 15-20% added in extras.

It wouldnt ever resell without a rear cam, ambient lighting, pdk, 18 way seats, sunroof, rear steer, t interior or coloured stitching… etc etc

I remember buying a new 997 at its launch, you didn’t get Bluetooth, sports seats, sat nav, sports suspension, sports chrono, cruise etc which now ll form part of the base spec.

There’s defo a bit of that especially with some dealers. Clearly they get a decent cut of the extras value. Mind you, there’s also a degree of truth with some of it - a plastic dash in a GTS 992 or a GT4/Spyder for example. Even the top man at my OPC did say to me that the T doesn’t need a load of fripperies - which was quite honest of him.

100% agreed, it’s really odd a base, s or t carrera has a leather dash but a GTS doesn’t.

Thanks all for an interesting exchange. NO aerokit it is.

Credit to my OPC, they accepted my stripper spec without any comments. Aerokit was purely revisiting childhood heroes, which is not required… stick to the basic formula!
