Hi Rich. Its not a must do. It doesn't harm the car in any way. However the springs rubbing at the top takes the paint off and they will rust. My old car was ex UK press so had a year of hard running in winter and summer in UK/Europe before it came to NZ. When we took the old springs off they were quite rusty at the top. To be fair tho the whole underside of that car (exhaust mounts, suspension arms etc) were oxidized or starting to corrode. Your guys winter roads are vicious. You can run a car here daily for a decade and see less alloy oxidation on components than a year old year round UK/Europe car. We dont use salt only grit and not many places with population get cold enough to use it often...

Cheers chap - will speak to OPC who will undoubtedly tell me to “do one” and not say it’s covered peeler said:
Love his vids - even if he does overuse the word 'just'.Which road is that?

Another great review and result for the GT3
Shame we didn’t get timed laps

She mentions turn in being far better and yet shes only driven a GT3 once before, she mentioned mid-corner understeer and yet your granny would drive it faster than what she was.
A typical predictive review, all these unknown so-called journos are reading from the same script and would seem given to them from Porsche.
No doubt it is fabulous on track in the right hands, but as its a GT3 the jury will be out until proper road reviews are done and very very strange that they haven't been done .

I don’t think she’s a journo - I think you’ll find she’s a very successful race driver. A typical predictive review, all these unknown so-called journos are reading from the same script and would seem given to them from Porsche.

Really, then maybe she should have drove it fast then instead of reading from the same script, which is quite boring now.
But what can they actually say ?? The turn in is amazing, the handling is awesome the cars so planted, the balance seems perfect that about sums it upI was more impressed it won the overall review, I drove the SF90 last week and had arrived in my GT3, I thought my car would feel slow and boring after the ballistically fast SF90 but it didn’t the GT3 is much more planted and precise and still felt quick but obviously not in the same league!! I couldn’t not hit the limiter in every gear though as I’m used to stinging the neck out of my.
The SF90 was a very strange experience in full electric !!
Oh yeah she is a development driver for F1 so I think she might know a thing or 2

She probably does no what she is doing and is the only one that has mentioned it understeers mid-corner, I will have to believe that then.I was more impressed it won the overall review, I drove the SF90 last week and had arrived in my GT3, I thought my car would feel slow and boring after the ballistically fast SF90 but it didn’t the GT3 is much more planted and precise and still felt quick but obviously not in the same league!! I want to see some proper road reviews on normal roads, we know it's good on a track , but seems mysterious that they are not forthcoming.

I would think based on her experience, she knows what she is on about and got mixed up with under and oversteer. For me and few friends that have tracked our 992GT3s, it 100% has mid fast corner oversteer, its easy enough to correct but you do lose speed. The person responsible for Aero on GT road cars recommended setting the front and rear Aero to max settings, as this would make the back more stable in the fast corners. This completely sorted it for me. I Think i have seen most of GT3 videos including the US on track tests and the SportAuto one in which they set a very fast lap time, not seen anyone mention this Mid Corner understeer point. I note SportAuto were very critical of both under and oversteer in the corners on the 765LT lap time. None of the Pro divers that have driven my car or the instructors at the Porsche Experience Centre commented on this mid corner under-steer point on the 992GT3 either, in fact quite the opposite.I want to see some proper road reviews on normal roads, we know it's good on a track , but seems mysterious that they are not forthcoming.

If the suspension is very firm / damped and the road surface uneven, this could cause the car to understeer mid corner under power.I want to see some proper road reviews on normal roads, we know it's good on a track , but seems mysterious that they are not forthcoming.
Were the discs steel or PCB ? Were the tyres new or old ? How close to the limit was she ?
Firming up the suspension and damping must have consequences even if it does make the car feel planted ...
