If it makes you feel better....first GT car GT3 991.1 in 2015......so 17 years of buying regular stuff before a sniff.
Stop sale GT3 due to engine issues on day delivered to dealer. 3 months to identify issue and further 3 months to resolve....so not a good start with GT product.
This car....build delayed due titanium cage supplier going bust. Then wheels, then unidentified issue, now mobile phone. Awesome car, grateful for allocation (but I am paying good money for it). Relaxed about suggested uplift in prices, plan to keep for a good while by which time I am sure that there will be a newer, faster in demand car...which will be reflected in resale.
Disappointed as the sun is shining (today), we have a limited sports driving season and would like to be sitting in a car that dealer advised built late Feb. Not the end of the world, thankfully got other nice stuff to drive. Irritating though......especially being deliberately kept in dark.
Nice one securing a 2RS.

But it seems the majority believe you have to buy “‘normal’’ Porsche’s to secure the GT’s. It’s not the case though even though it’s been banged a lot on here..

Looking forward to 2RS pics, enjoy.

Thank you. Completely agree. Also completely agree in the wider world a minor issue.
Irritating lack of communication from Porsche not helping though.

Of course. Seems the UK are last knockings in terms of being kept happy...

That would not be rattling around though huntersmile, more like a thuding;)
There is a issue seriously, that they can not resolve yet,so its back to the factory for a solution,no big deal i would have thought.
May be a 5th damper is required to manage the downforce then😂

Getting a sniff of a GT car was a brand new thing with the 991.1. You could have ordered / bought pretty much any GT or RS car you liked before that apart from the 997 4.0.

Not true, the 3.8 was not easy either, the 991 will not be a problem now,6500 made, loads unused or unregistered, they are now dreaming with there ask prices.

Yes fair enough. My point was more that previously there was no need to have this kind of multiple car buying history to get oneself in the privileged position of getting a GT car.

Loads of different figures around on gen 1RS numbers and I don’t know which is true. What’s the source / credibility of the 6500 number?

Car was supposed to leave factory next Friday (3 RS)but have received news from dealer that there are internal PAG quality checks necessary for both GT2 & 3 RS, UK deliveries now not scheduled until week commencing 21st May, anyone any idea what these quality checks relate to or have had similar news.

Not exactly sure how long mine took for transit as had stopped asking (too frequently) after various date changes.
Last weekend was told it had been released to Emden, and then yesterday got confirmed it had moved to Sheerness. As far as I can tell, should be registered this week.
Recently had a Turbo S at 'factory checks' for 7 weeks though.

Normally, the exit of the Karussell is straight forward, the mini Karussell has a lot of similar accidents where power is applied before the car has settled. Leads me to believe something similar happened here.

700hp and a heavy right foot at low speed, possibly mid air ? scratchchin
