I am tossing between Sport Plus 4-way, vs 18-way.

@Dixy, is the seat comfort the same, just with additional electric adjustments, or is the seat more padded and comfortable, before the adjustments?

My Mrs. is also keen on max comfort, so not sure of the diff. I always had Sport Plus, not entirely convinced of 18-way.
Pivo I tried both seats at the OPC - comfort wise there is no difference imo, but 18 ways has little more adjustments for lumbar support. They are slightly harder to get in and out as well as bigger lip at the edges. I ended up ordering 14 ways.
Do try both seats at the showroom

Very interesting, Docmem

I have not considered it. I will certainly try the 14-way seats.

I don’t see a thread on 992 fuel tank capacity, so I am going to swerve off line here…

The US market seems to have an option for a larger capacity fuel tank. Is it available to us in the UK?

I understand it’s just a different baffle in the same fuel tank, according to US forum posts.

I checked on the US configurator, here it is:

No one at the dealership could explain what extra thing changed on 18 way rather than 14 way so I went 14 and they are excellent, the extra tilt and length control is definitely worth the dosh.

I had an opportunity to drive 911 with Sport seats: the 4-way and 18-way.

The 18-way seats provide greater number of adjustments and are more comfortable, but I have to admit that I didn’t really need the additional points. I will stick with the standard Carrera T, 4-way sport seats.

I wonder where does the 911 production allocation go. Porsche is reporting increasing production numbers, while we are patiently waiting for our allocations. Reading Rennlist forum, US is getting new models well ahead the UK, e.g. 992 Carrera T.

I suspect that because of Chinese lock-down US and UK got higher than planned allocations, but as CN gets out of lockdown the delivery will swing in their favour. As a result UK waiting list is 24 months and it’s not getting any better.

I must see if I can find more facts in the Porsche annual reporting for DAX exchange.

Do the 4-way seats sit lower than the 18-way?

The bigger tank has never been available on any right-hand drive 911s, due to design/packaging.

im aware its a bit random into the thread, but with the necessary specs, whats kind of the brand new price of a 992 s ~ £110k? (given starting at 102~)

2019 992s are ~90k right now so about 20k under list , 6.6ish depreciation per year it seems

Interesting point, my spec: PPMD3R64 is currently priced at £110,905, but who knows next year

Probably need to remove another £10K for dealer mark up from trade in.

sure if you sell to dealer I guess, but the lowest on autotrader rn is really £90k, so I think thats a fair price to use give or take 1-2k.

was just interested to see how much the value has changed...more interested in hearing what the necessity type spec cost is which I presume is near the 110

Hi Pivo this was my code PPLUGM13. Not an S but base model as you know. Just one comment on your specs - arent you paying way too much for the PDLS lights. Standard lights are amazing and unless you drive a lot in the night you can save £2000. Hope you get the car soon.

Thanks Docmem, I will go with standard lights on Carrera T and see how it performs. For the C2S I am still thinking of the Matrix. For context, I used to live in the forest with no street lights whatsoever, so I always gravitated to the most advanced lighting available. However, I moved closer to civilization, so std lights might be just fine.

Agreed, the basic lights are superb. In fact, the basic car is superb.

I can see the point in choosing a unique color. Not sure that is worth £10k though!

Fascinating! The stats are not as different as I would expect… driving experience is vastly different though.

Does anyone have an update on lead times please? I fancy ordering a 911S or GTS and wondering how long it’d take.

Oh and Happy New Year one and all. party
