That first car is at Steve Bull, who seems to also think 20k is the right price for a 968. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2019...

according to Wiki there were 68k 993 produced and PCGB state 4.8k UK cars (excl imports, etc)
In comparison there were 175k 996 produced (not sure how many UK cars)
Find those numbers quite interesting. I always believed the 996 was the beginning of the mass produced 911 and therefor numbers dwarfed those of the 993. However, given the fact the 993 was only in production 4 years as opposed to 996s 8 years it would appear they were banging those out at a fair rate as well. It therefor makes sense that 996.1 numbers are pretty similar to 993.In comparison there were 175k 996 produced (not sure how many UK cars)
Regardless I don't see the 996 fortunes changing any time soon, and certainly not for my highly unpopular meridian, sunroofed C4 (only thing going for is that it's a 3.4 manual). If ICE cars aren't legislated off the road then the biggest hope is that the uninvolving, automated, turbo,Audiesque feel of the new cars boosts the popularity of the older NA cars eventually.
I was away for work for the past ten days (during which I had a crash and partially collapsed my lung, which was exciting - waiting for the bill from the ER for that one, which I suspect will be $much), and I dropped the car off at Auto Audio in Park Royal on my way to Heathrow, collected it this morning fresh off the red-eye.
I'd had a (what I thought to be) decent stereo installed, but it had always been a big disappointment - I asked Auto Audio to sort it out.
For context, when I dropped the car off it had:
Becker Cascade Pro head unit
6 channel J&L amp
2 Hertz 100 4" speakers in the dash
2 Hertz 130 5.25" speakers in the doors
2 Hertz 100 4" speakers in the rear
And I left a Focal powered subwoofer in the boot that we'd not been able to find a location for when installing the above.
I got an email from Greg, who had looked the car over and was looking after it - his recommendation was to reinstall the rear and door speakers as air was leaking from front to back, and to replace the dash speakers with Morel Virtus separate tweeter and mid. The sub could go under the dash on the passenger side.
I said yes to all of this and my god was it worth it - it's gone from being a significant disappointment (the only area of the car that I can say that about) to making me want to pop out with a CD to listen to it in the car, parked up on the drive.
Heartily recommend the lads in Park Royal, I only wish I'd had this stereo fitted for my trip down to Morzine and back.

Anyone been to look at this car ? I’ve had a clear out of a few classics this summer and I’m also on the hunt for a 996.1 C2 aero kitted car. They seem few and far between so was thinking of looking at C4’s also https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1040278
