991 RS Prices - 10 flippers already for sale!
Discussion
I've been giving this "flipping" dynamic some thought. (Not much , but a little) - I initially through that "flipping" was frowned upon by Porsche , but thinking it through rationally , I wonder .... Surely an OPC would love it if they got to sell a car twice in a matter of weeks and the second time they could do this on bumper commission - so maybe 3 * the profit in real terms? If this wasn't the case why don't they stop OPC's re selling cars for more than list if < X months old ?
Also if it went to an Indy , Porsche still get to say "look at how amazing & desirable our cars are - they trade at twice the price we sell them at - they really must be really amazing" etc , etc.
Also they can legitimise thier perceived negative approach to this practice by penalising the "flipper" and not letting them do it twice , as they know that the practice is a virtuous circle , as it creates less cars than the speculators demand and as such , they can sell next time to new "flippers" who want a piece of the action. A win win for Porsche.
So I wonder , if the truth is , that Porsche actually love this phenomenon as if they didn't , surely they'd increase the supply and kill this practice stone dead ? Which would be nice as we could all just get on with it , enjoy our cars , without this whole dynamic clouding the experience - I may of course be completely wrong about this and re reading my post , I wonder if I'm over thinking it ?![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

I agree with your analysis except one part ... I can't see how Porsche would condone flipping cars outside the dealer network, especially within the first 6 months. Also if it went to an Indy , Porsche still get to say "look at how amazing & desirable our cars are - they trade at twice the price we sell them at - they really must be really amazing" etc , etc.

Why are so many threads on PH like this?
Doesn't money supermarket have a forum for people to talk about prices of cars?
Seconded.Doesn't money supermarket have a forum for people to talk about prices of cars?
Getting hacked off with all this clogging up the porsche forum.
Starting to see little more transparency ....
Romans managed to sell their RHD car, not sure what level but the asking price was 279k. It was though one of the first physical cars on the market.
OPC Newcastle are advertising one at 279k ... presume their will be some room for discount considering ...

... Supercar Connect have one for 270k.
