Have seen the orange st replica at jzm. All I would say is that if anybody is looking
to built one, this is probably half price of what it will cost .
Stunning immaculate car.
Do you know who built it ?

I spoke to JZM on friday about this car..Its sounds to be every bit as good as a car as it seems in the extensive photos they supplied..I'm really tied up with work for the next couple of weeks, otherwise i'd make the long drive up to have a closer look..

In a few years when the 87,s have all been backed dated people will be converting them back due to the costs.

Personally I’d look at the one at Hairpin for £135k that’s built on an S and has FIA papers. Was yellows originally and saw it built alongside my 3.0RSR rep.

The one at JZM seems very expensive in comparison.

Has papers to 2028 and a recent £100k spend plus the famous owner ;-)

Trust me Taffy, I’ve known Yellow for many, many years if I was looking for this type of thing I’d trust him implicitly.

My headache has nothing to do with Yellow, who i trust 100% on all Porsche matters. Its this awful weather which is playing with my head.!
I've decided to not pursue the JZN car and bide my time..At the end of the day i like to buy cars which i enjoy driving as i'm not rich enough to amass a collection or cars to store away in a locked garage..
Back to the drawing board..rolleyes

I'm at pub in the park in Bath this weekend, might pop across to have a look at that car, it's right up my street but would be a stretch on the budget. Any advice on what I can expect to find or look for would be appreciated.

As you, I, JC and Hunter know all too well, Mezgers aren't cheap engines to build, but badly built Mezgers are a different kettle altogether !! biggrin

I got one very recently, from a friend who was upgrading to something backdated in California...

1974T, Tuthill 2018 rebuild with ST arches, 2.7RS spec engine, bespoke exhaust, rally spec P7s etc. (plus proper seats..).
Mega little thing - very raw, noisy and proper driving - you can go flat out without getting to silly speeds.
And while I understand the 'purist' thing, the good thing about a backdate is that you don't have to even think about mileage vs values, keeping originality etc as it's irrelevant.

Highly recommend them...
