I think the problems you are both faced with is you are both asking for the GTS model. The GTS models are currently very desirable, I guess this due to the limited supply of GT cars and they are the next go to model in the range.

Have either of you asked if they could supply you with a new S model in the time frame you require?

I’m aware my OPC now has a waiting list for certain GTS cars which sounds like its growing buy the week.

If a car is needed for summer you may be better off paying a little bit more for a good spec nearly new car.
LOL, getting an S is even more of a wait, 18 months plus, as Porsche are prioritising the GTS builds and thus the lower down models are sacrificed.
Are you saying that a S model is now harder to buy new over a 992 GTS model?
Porsche are quoting 2023 for all models other than the GTS. Personally I think this means that they are now pushing most capacity at the GTS and all other models will now be 992.2 as it's rumoured to be due 2023. This I think is what happened at the end of the 991.2, nearly all production went to GTS derivatives.

I was told in September that I’d get a gts cab sooner than an S. Afterva quick bit of man maths and price creep I ordered a gts.

Any ideas when the next batch of allocations will come through? Are they issued each month or one batch per quarter?

Yup although they were making the 911 T as well. But certainly Carrera and Carrera S builds were very thin on the ground. In a normal month an OPC might get 5 911’s….assume they are current;ly getting 1 or 2 GT3’s that’s only 3 or 4 cars across all the different variations of Carrera/S/GTS with 2 or 4WD and Coupe/Cab/Targa

Sit tight with all fingers and toes crossed... 2022 unfortunately, is not going to be great with Allocations, what with every thing going on in the world i doff my cap to Porsche for doing their best to keep all allocations drip-fed.

I Genuinely, cant see the smoke through the woods on any type of normal allocations till 2023 at least.. sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I know its a new year..

Sounds like there going to be plenty of disappointed people out there for 2022.

I makes sense now why a friend got bid retail on his roughly year old 992 4 s by a opc, they apparently sold it for over list in a matter of days of taking it in.

Words gone mad.

I sold my Macan Gts back to main dealer after they chased me and offered more than I paid new for it 11 months earlier and I had put 17,000 on the clock !!!

Not a chance . This is the new world of car buying limited stock , manufacturers and dealers are selling less cars but making bigger profits as they are not providing big discounts. We’ve had 1-2 years of limited supply so this means this will continue for sometime and used cars will be over valued.

I thought Porsche couldn’t sell above retail until a model run is finished? Is this an outdated rule?

and the 'decontenting of new cars' isnt going to help either eg the new options list one example on a GTS the standard wheels are black only now which I really dont like which is why mine has silver , so if people cant get what they want its a further pressure

Well my OPC had a GT3RS 991 (when it was still current) for way past its original cost

As it is 6 months since I put my deposit down, today I phoned for an update. The best they could say was Q2 Q3.

I'm in a similar position. Where is yours coming from?

I wonder if there is little advance info coming from the factory other than immediate allocations that they know they can build.

They can't sell a new car over list, just a used car. There was also a rule that they couldn't advertise an over list car within the first 6 months of production/release, but that seems to be getting ignored now....

@Dixy and Undred Orse, what 992's have you placed orders on?

It's 6 months since I placed my order too, on a 992 C2 GTS Coupe.

I’ve stopped calling as they don’t know (I’m Q4 2022) and five months since I placed my deposit. I’m now at the stage where I’m expecting it to be delayed longer and will then take a view whether I am interested at the time as the auto world is changing so fast at the moment.

I guess if it was Q2 for you then he would already know so he is really saying Q3?
