Harris is simply flipping his Touring and potentially making a wedge of profit for himself in the process. However he dresses it up.
Not so much a flip given the mileage to be fair but perhaps just toys out of the pram because he couldn't get something he wanted.....Just shows people love a good moan, even about someone moaning.

Its about time porsche played the fair game, how did he get two tourings just because he is in that truly terrible tv program ,if porsche cant supply the spec because of supply issues, well thats that.
May be the profit could go to a worthy charity.
Some of the opc sales guys are truly rude and arrogant, always found service and spares supply great service.
I am seriously looking for a 992 gt3,and having walked around 3 opc show rooms with the sales dummies pretending to look busy gazing into there screens, its not a great experience.
As some one who had a 997 4.0 ltr rs order cancelled and given to a so called celeb who flipped it,the DP was most apologetic and said it was out of his control, go figure what goes on.

Met up with a couple of chums last weekend, both Porsche enthusiasts, one of whom had taken delivery of a 992 GT3 last summer.
Asked how it was going and he said he’d sold it (back to the dealer).
He said it didn’t work for him as a road car, ride was too firm and fidgety, performance wasn’t really accessible on the road, and his wife hated the noise and seats.
But, he was quite happy. Said the dealer was helpful and agreed a price that put cash in his pocket, and offered him an order on the new T model that comes out this year, which he says is prettier, cheaper, better seats plus rears, and, he’s hoping, better to drive, so he’ll use it more.

He had a new 991.2 GT3 Touring and a new 992 GT3 Touring. Maybe the OPC was saying supply is restricted, you've had two recent GT products (one very recent), we need to share the cars out a bit...
Hard to feel sorry for someone whos had two GT3 touring allocations and the option to buy a GT4RS - i doubt CH has been buying unwanted dealer stocked macans and panamera's to buy GT products. Hard life having to sell one touring and keep the other isnt it all whilst turning down a 4RS allocation. I wish i was treated that badly by Porsche...Tough crowd!
I like CH. I've never met him, but I get the impression he's approachable and would be open for low level p!ss-taking, loves GT products and talks 'our' language.
I didn't take the post as being a cry for sympathy - more a, "yes - I haven't had it for long, it's on CC and here's why" explainer.
I think the utterly laughable, conceited and pretentious OPCs are the ones who come out of this badly (do I sound bitter??). There's no excuse for rudenes and I hope this episode, winding up somebody with a platorm / profile, is at the very least embarassing for them.
All they ever have to do, when discussing a GT transaction is simply explain why commercially a deal does, or does not make sense for them.
The games, the attitude and pretence of having policies or principles, just push people away. They don't have to compete for sales right now. If they ever do though, this kind of thing may matter.

I've had both and kept the 991 touring, so much better than the 992
Different league entirely but this is why I’m really hesitant in taking the 992T I have an allocation for. Really appreciate my 991T and can’t help thinking I’ll miss it. Is it the size that makes the difference out of interest? I know it’s minimal but the 991 just feels right to me.
I was told by a dealer (specialist, not Porsche) that the reason a lot of GT3s and RSs are low mileage, with often multiple owners, is not because they were bought by speculators, but because not everyone warms to their compromises, especially for regular road use.
So, if someone has a lot of money tied up in a car, that doesn’t quite meet their expectations, and it can be sold-on for a modest tax free profit, why not ?

It looks to me Chris wanted his cake and eat it.
Wanted overs for his touring and it didn’t happen and when he told them he wasn’t trading in the my pulled the allocation for the 4RS.
So now he is a flipper will he be black listed from GT products?

This is a big part of the reason the current allocation system stinks…. People don’t know what they are buying, but just see it as the top of the range most exclusive thing to get.I watched this video again today… Porsche should have a look also…
I particularly like the Going Direct option with an application form.
