The wing mirrors probably help to blend the rear ducts into the overall package. Why they didn’t they come in body colour is beyond me. Looking forward to seeing it in North Wales soon, will take it easy on you as you will still be running it in ...![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

It's going to be the longest1800 miles of my life... Congrats Dave.I saw a new white one in Cardiff the other day and probably the best colour to get..The close-up picture of the carbon mirrors had the bottom part in black which is slightly confusing.
The only way to avoid the prolonged agony of the 1800 mile running in is to flip it straight off and pass this task to some other poor unsuspecting soul..

Anyone paying large overs might do well to remember what happened to the early .1gt3 and early RS. Quickly went to stupid numbers but then as production continued on and on.. and on.. those overs dropped a lot to something a lot more sensible. There's little to suggest the trend won't continue for the .2gt3. Per rennlist, in 2 months of North American production there are already over 600 cars and it seems numbers are going to be fairly in line with the .1gt3 in the end (2k in north america alone) which is a very good car but hardly a rare one.
Looks like you are confusing the market in the USA with the UK.av185 said:

Possibly. However large numbers of cars for one region means production numbers are high full stop and as a rough average the % of cars going to a region is been broadly similar out the overall total for years. And the US market after all on the .1 and RS has shown similar trends to the UK even if the exact numbers were different. Large initial overs due to the hype etc but as production continued and deliveries kept on coming the loony overs dropped fairly swiftly. No obvious reason why the .2 won't follow.Taffy66 said:

I might just have to keep it and deal with the running in period!

Don’t start bigging up prices due to low numbers you did this with the 981 Spyder and said 85 cars for months on end, there will be about 580 new uk GT3,s The 2017 batch is more than 332 as it is lol . The 2018 will be another 250+ extras which filter though.
You do post a lot of tat regarding numbers every model.

There haven't been 332 in the first allocation David? There are 34 OPC's across the UK including the service centres such as Brooklands who don't sell new cars so say 33. If you average 7 per dealer which is what mine had that's 231 in the first run. The 2017 batch is more than 332 as it is lol . The 2018 will be another 250+ extras which filter though.

I've heard some dealer talk of only having about 4 in the second run but time will tell. I reckon almost half of the next batch could be tourings as the flippers, and there will be flippers, will be thinking that the Touring will be worth more money due to the 911R craze and they're probably right. I know Porsche reckon on 25% Tourings but I think it could be more than that. Plus between the manual touring, manual GT3 with a wing and the PDK winged GT3 you have 3 different models effectively. Those that might want a manual with a wing for example and a certain spec will find it harder to locate what they want.
Even if you work on another 231 on the second allocation which I suppose is possible, that's 77 of each 'model' if you divide by 3.
Either way it'll be interesting but we certainly won't see 580.
