True K, hope you are well.

Plus between the manual touring, manual GT3 with a wing and the PDK winged GT3 you have 3 different models effectively. Those that might want a manual with a wing for example and a certain spec will find it harder to locate what they want.

Even if you work on another 231 on the second allocation which I suppose is possible, that's 77 of each 'model' if you divide by 3.

Either way it'll be interesting but we certainly won't see 580.
What is definitely for sure is that buying one of these second hand in the future will be a bit of a nightmare....with effectively three "base specs" and then two of those having the Clubsport option choices will be pretty narrow especially after people start getting fussy about PCCB's and which buckets etc!

Looks like you are confusing the market in the USA with the UK.
Possibly. However large numbers of cars for one region means production numbers are high full stop and as a rough average the % of cars going to a region is been broadly similar out the overall total for years. And the US market after all on the .1 and RS has shown similar trends to the UK even if the exact numbers were different. Large initial overs due to the hype etc but as production continued and deliveries kept on coming the loony overs dropped fairly swiftly. No obvious reason why the .2 won't follow.
I think everything you say is right, but if you allow me to wear my rose-tinted glasses for a moment, this may turn out to be the last na GT3 and some suggest GB allocation may be much lower this time around (value of £, diminishing production window, etc), who knows?
ETA, sorry, I’m missed about 10 posts covering all of this!

Just wanted to say I’m loving my car.

I’m up to 1500 miles and pretty much run in. I’ve had a garage car for 10 years now and ALWAYS do 3000 miles a year.

I’ve had my car less that 2 months.......

This blurb about 'the last NA gt3' has been bandied around for quite a long time. Good to see there are still believers ... wink

I finally got close up to a 991.2 GT3 earlier this week and all I can say to those of you either with the cars or waiting for arrival you are very very lucky as they are stunning. I loved the Gen 1 but the Gen 2 car looks so much better, a more complete car you might say with what appears to be a stonking engine.

We've sold quite a few of the Sharkwerks bypass pipes already for the Gen 2 but this was the 1st car we had the pleasure of carrying out the installation so here's some pics for you. We also fitted the slightly larger 100mm Sharkwerks RS black ceramic coated tips on this car which in my opinion suit the GT3 better than the OE tailpipes but appreciate that's subjective.

This customer (like many other GT3 owners) was specifically looking at enjoying more of the amazing GT3 soundtrack at a more licence friendly lower RPM range and that's the Sharkwerks party trick. Not only does it sound better when you're 'on it' but it gives you more lower down where in reality you spend more of the time. The owner also reported back that on his journey home the previous 'resonance' his car suffered from at a 70-80mph cruise had disappeared even with the exhaust valves open so that was an added bonus.

For those lucky guys who have recently taken delivery and contacted us regarding the Sharkwerks exhaust bypass pipes and 100mm tips we have now received our latest delivery from Sharkwerks in California and all previously orders have been shipped out. We do however still have a few left in stock in the UK for immediate delivery, we can ship to the UK or Europe and install them in house if preferred.

Feedback and reviews from 991.2 GT3 owners is extremely positive with most enjoying the glorious top-end GT3 soundtrack at a much lower RPM range.

There haven't been 332 in the first allocation David? There are 34 OPC's across the UK including the service centres such as Brooklands who don't sell new cars so say 33. If you average 7 per dealer which is what mine had that's 231 in the first run.

I've heard some dealer talk of only having about 4 in the second run but time will tell. I reckon almost half of the next batch could be tourings as the flippers, and there will be flippers, will be thinking that the Touring will be worth more money due to the 911R craze and they're probably right. I know Porsche reckon on 25% Tourings but I think it could be more than that. Plus between the manual touring, manual GT3 with a wing and the PDK winged GT3 you have 3 different models effectively. Those that might want a manual with a wing for example and a certain spec will find it harder to locate what they want.

we will see :-) some dealers got 12 in the 1st batch so you cannot ave out numbers.

numbers on these cars creep up, the 991.1 has engine issues so were stopped, but look how many 991 RS made it in the end , and GT4 numbers shot upto 580 odd also from the 200 cars ! , lets review it in 12 months :-) AV185 is such a joker he was saying 85 Spyders for about 12 months and then takes the piss out of me !!

I'll prob spec a 911R look a like my self, may as well now. as you say rarer and less in ones face if left in town, I could get away with using it full time.

'....anticipating'. Hardly definitive anyway but we'll see soon enough. 'The last NA GT' has been bandied around since the 997 tbh. I'll believe it when it happens. Porsche haven't just built the dfi 4litre NA for the Cup to scrap the road version so quickly imo.

Lambo have said that the Huracan replacement is going to be a hybrid. Very possible the GT3 will be similar...
It's the same company after all.

I really don't think even Porsche can know for sure....as an example they've just pulled the diesel Panamera less than a year after the car was launched.

If the race series that the 911 Cup car competes in pushes those cars to Hybrid tech I can't see the GT3 not reflecting that.

Slightly off topic sorry but yes panamera diesel no longer available although my local dealer has a new one in showroom if anyone wants one.
Apparently there's been a surge in used Cayenne S diesel sales because there is talk of no diesel for the new model?

No diesel in an SUV seems an odd choice as its the best engine for the job and with adblue is relatively clean. The petrol versions are so heavy on fuel.
Even a Macan S petrol is averaging only 19 mpg.

Is the scaremongering over diesel going to go away? A mate of mine who is senior at JLR reckons there is a market for big diesels still but not small ones.
I suppose he would say that as apart from a thirsty supercharged V8, what would you put in a Range Rover other than a diesel? A hybrid Range Rover will be heavier than the moon.

A GT3 hybrid is going to weight a good deal more too... weight is an fun killer.

So only just a little bit heavier than one of those oversized-mobility scooters that Tesla sell then?
