Build slots of 992.1 are drying up, and I was told the 992.2 shall be late next year and starting with Carrera, so not GTS, turbo etc until spring '25.I would suggest taking the Xmas build and register it Jan.
Enjoy it and trade it for a 992.2.

Moved Jeremy’s 992 C2 Cab to delivered vehicles #06. Congrats, a Cab just in time for hot weather.Hi, new to the forum and new to Porsches. Placed an order for a 992.1 C2 (Carrera 2wd?) Cab in Jan 23, expecting delivery in Q3 24. Would rather have the car earlier than wait for an 992.2. Hopeful the order can be brought forward through a cancelled order. Do you know if I am likely to get a vehicle earlier if I broaden out the options to a C2S Cab and GTS Cab as well as C2 Cab? Thanks Mike

It was indicated to me that 992.2 cabs will only start filtering spring '25.Speak to your dealer and indicate you would be interested in someones cancelled order slot if one comes available.
My rwd GTS cab that arrived 5 weeks ago was the only one they were allocated for 2023.
There were no cab slots available to order at all when I was in there last week.

Welcome Guyjames.Weak hands are shaken off the market, plus speculators are moving on as the arbitrage opportunity disappears.
IMPO, if you want GTS, get it now, if you want any 992.2 then wait. Porsche normally releases different derivatives in regular cycles. It is unlikely that GTS will be the launch vehicle for 992.2, and given the supply-chain difficulties it is even less likely that all derivatives are available at the same time.
Just to add another data point to this...
Deposit down on a 992 GTS in May 2022 and got a message about a build slot today.
It's a conundrum for me personally now given the two price increases since i put my deposit down and current interest rates amongst other considerations.
I'm now considering deferring my deposit over to the 992.2 GTS whenever that will be.

My dealer expects carreras late Q3 next year, so if they are delayed, it shall push gts, turbo etc back.
They want the c2's & c4's hoovered up first.

New order added for @Polyp's, 992 GTS, possibly rolling over to 992.2Thanks, I've just confirmed with my OPC the roll over to 992.2 GTS.
I was told standard carrera 992.2 likely from end of 2024 and thus told to expect to wait 2 to 3 years for a GTS from now which puts it Q3 2025 onwards or more likely 2026. I imagine they dont' really know.
Looks like I'll be enjoying my current 991.2 GTS for a while longer!
