...and a fresh pic from today. Quite a few GT cars there today. In additional to these a 997RS, 991GT2RS, and a few more 991 GT3 and RS. Fair to say that the old mezger GT3s are quite rare now at circuits frown

Little piece of my trusty old 7.1RS which I had signed by Vic Elford and Hurley Haywood the other day.

Mrs Digga was spectating from the pit wall inside La Source on a wet Spa trackday a few years back. There were two Dutch guys in ratty old tracked-up and stripped-out Volvo 340's. She said they came through there sideways, every lap, giving the thumbs up to everyone on the pit wall. hehe

Different matter doing it with a V10, mid-engined beast though!

The best drive of my life was Ab 30 minutes alone on track at a soaking wet spa francorchamps . I had the entire track to myself , I was sideways everywhere and span about 10 times ,the marshals were laughing at me so much . I love that car , it’s really a great machine . So misunderstood .

I tried to ‘set the rooster tail w\orld record !

I found the picture on line .
I would love to get a hi Rez pic of that , it’s one of my favourite shots of my gt. She has nearly 30,000 Miles on her now . Mostly too , on and from track .

Here she is several years ago on slicks chasing down race cars :

One careful lady owner , never raced or rallied haha

Awesome photo. thumbup

It blows my little mind that most of that amazing V10 (block & heads) is below the bumper line in that photo.

Yes , that clutch is a great help in getting most of the mass of the Carrera gt at and below the height of the wheel nuts . It looks as good with the bodywork off as on , really is a masterpiece of engineering .
Here the car that donated it’s engine and chassis tech with the team that used to run it :

Is the V10 off-centre in that car? I'm wondering how the bodywork can be so low (that channel between the guys in the white shirts)!!

p.s. On a smaller scale, at first glance I thought your photo was coming out of the bus stop chicane, because I got a similar angle in my car by accident when the rear end was out the other side and the pendulum swung back the other way... It got the juices flowing! biggrin

The engine is so low , it’s insane . It took me 3 days of cajoling them to finally get a glimpse .
It was sad , they said once their car was retired (after testing twice) the race department was retired too . The chief engineer told me "the car was retired and so were we" , they all went to the museum together and they still look after it

So that’s THE V10?

I genuinely did not know that. It’s sooooo low!
