not good to drive either, so they are now strange cars at 300 euro's.

I was close to buying a mint autofarm one for £38k back in 2006 or something, only took me a few yards to see they don't cope on bumpy roads one bit, so pretty stupid cars all told bar track work or places who do have smooth roads.

very few GT or RS cars work in the UK for road use. hence the hot rod's with bespoke sus etc as these cars just like older GT3 were peanuts back In the day. at £60k you could not shift 996RS 8 years back, so it's all a farse why people want them.

if people liked driving they would try a Cayman R at £40k !!! but A: it's not a 911 and B:it's not a 911 and C: it's not expensive enough. :-)

these cars are great in collections, but that's where they should stay.....
Sorry, I don’t often feel compelled to respond to these type of ramblings - but what utter tosh!

You could have qualified your post as ‘imo’ - rather than have it read as gospel.

As with any decent sports car it’s all about set-up.

Invest a little time, patience and a few £ and a 964RS (+ 996GT3RS for that matter) can be set-up really well to cope with driving duties on UK roads, as well as Euro-hoons / Trackdays or whatever. It really is not rocket science!

All imho of course.

RSVP - unfortunately I don’t know of any LHD low miles cars other than those already mentioned, but I would certainly endorse Paul Mac.
I would only add not getting hung-up on mileage - condition/originality far more important imo, and there will be many decent cars out there with higher miles.

Anyway good luck with your search - they can indeed be great cars to ‘drive’.
Cheers thanks, good advice : I love a bit of “balance” on PH smile

What is gospel is how bad these car handle B roads in the UK.
It is all a bit look at me imho ....over driving half the time.
I have not driven a 64RS on the road for a long time but I can imagine its firm.. my old GT3 was jumping and moving all over the road, that did feel dangerous on B roads

Thanks , really looking for a full on RS colour - interesting that the price has been reduced - I’ve been looking for about 12 weeks now and every car bar one is still for sale .

Just done nearly 1000 kms in my RS in last couple of weeks and even used as daily earlier in the week. It's noisy/can be fretful on really bumpy roads/no radio - has a full Matter cage so pain to get in and out of....but it all adds to the theatre of driving it. Such fun to drive and most importantly narrow - our country roads have not got wider - looks tiny parked next to modern stuff. Good luck OP in your quest to find one of these great little cars.

I agree with you. Midnight blue is wasted on a 964 RS.

Richard's getting sniffy about shelling out for a decent 964 RS Lightweight, I suspect he'll need the sniffing salts when he sees the price for a 964 C4 Lightweight ...

And that "bespoke" Momo steering wheel that they produced only 20 of, looks remarkably similar to a Momo Monte Carlo they've been producing for the last 30 + years ... scratchchin

I have read about these. Noticed what looked like an external oil filler flap. I wonder what that is all about and why they did it.

I’ve got an RS,I always say it’s the best one in the World

Lightweight, mechanical and a joy to drive, sharp as a Razor

I can’t see it being worth £300k but just as much fun at a tenth of the price Lol

Meet my White 500HP RS biggrin

So there you go you can get a mint RS with low miles and at not much more than a tenth of the quoted £300k ones on offer Lol

Did I mention the only draw back is that’s its an EVO 6RS

hehe
