Not even heard of this though I'm sure Porsche sell it, I've got a couple of Porsche cups so I'm good for merchandise.

I hope a supposed watch-buyer doesn't nick my place though eek

Congratulations, what a great call to have.
Thanks! There must be more folk out there with an allocation but maybe my guy is just more organised or everyone else keeping quiet or has a life outside the internet (?!).

Part of me thinks that unlike a couple years ago, many speculators aren't interested or don't have £ lying around, but still the finance offer I've got has a ridiculously high balloon so the market can't be quite as bad as it seems.

Can't bring myself to paint the carbon bonnet, defeats the point of the WP appearance, eventhough I think the black bonnet WP on LG looks a bit OTT.
If you do go carbon bonnet I reckon PPF will be a must have. Maybe I am wrong but I would think if you get stone chips in that its going to be a nightmare to get it sorted.

I'd guess it cannot be repaired so yes PPF makes sense and good point smile

so a quick question to those who have an order. Did your dealer make it conditional to take the watch? Its part of my deal and if I'm honest the condition is making me consider cancelling the order. The car is awesome, but to be stung for an additional £7-9k seems foolhardy and fairly manipulative of the dealer.

Is this the norm. for these cars as it would be my first RS

Cheers

Id be supirsed if that watch cost Porsche more than 300 to produce. You can buy a stainless Rolex Daytona new duty free for 9000...

Titanium body, carbon dial + Swiss made so £300 is miles off?

Its cheaper than having to buy a Macan or something. Its sounds so wrong to have to do that, but imagine your paying £7-9K overs on a new car. Then put the watch away for ever and never wear that hideous thing.

The parts for a steel Rolex Daytona’s wouldn’t add up to £1k to manufacture either. Well that’s what I was told by a jeweller who was servicing mine. And I wouldn’t pay £9k for one!

New Zealand. I waited 90 days for my last one. Like GT3 we get more allocation per head capita than UK and demand is not so strong...

I'm told that Rolex off one watch per year to certain employees at 10% of the retail price for steel watches ...

I have no idea how they manage the intrinsic value of other elements ...

I would. Given that on the used market they are 16k+....

You’ve already bought multiple other cars to get to the point where you get an RS allocation and asked to buy the watch for £9k.

I’d rather have a Macan...love my Turbo PP.

Are you expecting further development on the .2? Has a ‘second batch’, even the same as the former, been done before on a GT car ? I’m curious that it would be further developed...

It wasn’t the norm, but dealers are “refining” their process, so a lot of people who wouldn’t buy watches, take finance, and give cars back under value, have been replaced by those who will.
Up to you how you what to play it. For me, Porsche makes cars, dealers sell cars.
If between them they what to manipulate demand to create extra revenue streams, that’s up to them, but it’s not for me.

It’s all based on the idea that a GT allocation is free money, and I’ll be interested to see what happens when that changes.
I might buy another one then, if they give me a watch and a discount. (Will be from a different dealer though)

Not the first batch , I specced very little ( bought it for myself and to use , so not interested in all the junk that is "needed" for a flip ) , came out at 150k ..... salesman asked is that it ? Said yup , and he stated it made no difference to the Dealership , so great . Maybe different in non Porsche owned dealers .Happy with the car and nice to drive in town and on track .
