The £125k 991 GT3 has arrived. Let's start a thread.
Normal service is resumed, really no need to start a new thread (we had plenty on the way up).At near to list price, the car becomes more attractive but still think there will be quite a few cars always available. 300+ cars, and new entrants 991 RS & the more affordable GT4 add to the growing pool of such cars (including attractively priced LHD ones) and I do not think demand quite exceeds supply. As prices normalise, some of the speculators drawn into this sector will slip away.
Would I buy from a private seller if it was cheaper - no hesitation, the cars enjoy a warranty and I would perhaps get it checked at an OPC. If the seller of the £125k car had been offered that from the trade, that would be the easiest way to close the deal quickly. Perhaps the trade think this is a falling knife, especially as 991RS's start to appear soon.
Can anyone tell me why we have this British Porsche bubble? As an example here in Switzerland you hvae a choice of Gt3’s and prices are about 15% or more below list. As an example a dealer car, one year old, low miles is about 105 kGBP. Even GT4's were available until just a few weeks ago. I'm assuming RHD market, less cars etc. but still doesn't explain such extremely high prices.

Maybe the 132 figure was perhaps more accurate than some thought......:

The £125k reflects extremely limited number of buyers willing to buy privately even at this 'bargain' price for a £110k otr car.
It's likely still got 2 or maybe 3 years Porsche warranty on it, what's a dealer going to offer better than that?(3 years if they got the extra years warranty when engine was exchanged)
PPI and off you go, even if you need finance you don't need a dealer just call a finance company yourself, lots of dealers use the same guy as it is, and you can call him direct.
So sorry if trade had offered him £125k then it wouldn't be for sale privately would it.

Quite. But bubbles are rarely rational.5517 said:
Clever seller put it up at a price to attract attention and incite buyers to out bid each other.
I guess it sold at closer to 135 than 125.
It may well have done......and at that price a genuine bargain too.I guess it sold at closer to 135 than 125.
So it appears nothing much has changed despite all this talk by some of lower prices.......meantime only 16 OPC cars now available from £135k to £165k.

As it appears to be the case this comfort average spec 14 plate car has sold privately very quickly at AP £125k this would suggest it was underpriced. Shame then that all the 'potential purchasers' were too busy snoozing and posting on forums instead of snapping up a bargain....
This seller has clearly done there home work as other cars have sat unsold for months.PR36 said:
As someone basing their perception of the market on advertisements, i would always want to know how real those adverts were.
I take it you are referring to the massively over priced cars trying to hold prices up?If cars are struggling to sell at 135k why on earth would you put your car up for £170k!

You must be delighted !. A better nights sleep beckons I feel.
Don't really give a stuff. The thread is about gt3 prices. If all you are going to post is psycho-babble about getting a good nights sleep and schadenfreude and bailing too early, why bother? Just because I never bought into the "£200k by the summer" BS posted by others, strangely you seem to have a pop every time I post. You know nothing about me or why I sold my car or how much I sold if for. Or maybe you do and if so, please post up the details.
