what is an 'early' 3.4 996?

I'm not sure auction works for a car like this. Buyers need time to get organised.

Seems OK for £10.5K but the gearbox would be a deal breaker for me. I would need it to have 3 pedals.

I've been toying with buying a 3.4 for a long time.

We need to replace our car. My amazing wife says she likes a 996 and doesnt want a 'wky' car (I think means no dull boring stty hatchback, I'll check)

In my idea world a 996 would be 3.4, dark colour, manual, C4, sunroof.

And there it is on autotrader.

What you feel is correct, I’ll expand:

Fronts
The 996 turbo twists in 18x8 are ET50.
The Carrera 3s, also 18x8 are ET57, which means they sit 7mm further in than the standard wheels.


Rear
The 996 turbo twists in 18x10 are ET65.
The Carrera 3s, also 18x10 are ET57, which means they sit 8mm further out than the standard wheels.

I’ve got Carrera 3s on mine, and have 10mm spacers on the front.

Oh, I see, the rain gutters have some silver on them, I hadnt spotted that, wrap I guess, I figured the silver bits on the front bumper and the Carrera logos could all be peeled off.

Go on then, why is it a money pit?

Spot on. I've got the same wheels, fitted 15mm spacers on the front which gives a 7mm additional poke which looks quite nice but is still very subtle, matches the rear nicely.
