I doubt very much it will blow up you.... mind you this depends on which sites you read Or visit ! It’s quite refreshing to even see a 997 appreciation thread of any kind without some one who’s bought a 996 telling everyone else how “Chocolate” engines in the gen.1 997’s melt.

An X51 power kit in a C4S is a bit of rareity, just get out there and enjoy driving it, go through the usual routine of warming it up and look after it, keep on top of maintenance and you should enjoy many miles of trouble free motoring.
Ha ha thanks! I’m pretty confident as Hartech gave it the all clear following a bore scope so time will tell.

I didn’t know anything about the X51 until I found it and have to say it’s exceeded all expectations, it’s got a serious midrange and makes a wonderful noise.

That is a great combination.

Black edition looks stunning.

I’ve driven mine all week rather than being precious about it and they really are superb as a daily.

Has anyone got any experience of the Hartech 3.9 conversion?

Anyone fancy an essentially "as new" 997.1 Turbo Tip?!

Well, that is rather sad.
If it where a manual and it where 2019 maybe it would sell.

Expensive but you get more race derived engineering for your money with mezger 996/997 than later dfi cars if engineering means anything to the purchaser. If it was a manual I'd say the asking price fair. As tip I'd say £75k closer to the mark.

Thanks, although I'm afraid I don't know anything more than they are LED as the previous owner fitted them. There is a mountain of receipts in the history folder though so I'll have a look through and see what I can find.

I was actually contemplating making them amber, i.e. an amber film across the whole lens. Perhaps not though,

You're possibly in the wrong thread. You need to be in the Barry thread for that.
