Not sure I have the balls for that ! If it was only a track car would be different.
Quite, but gold wheels suit the colour nicely, don't they?

Finally picked mine up today....

Congratulations, Cheib, this looks sensational. This could well be my favourite winged 1.2 GT3

Cheib,

The gold wheels are the danglies, buddy. If you can afford it, the why the hell not. Go on, send yourself to a happy place for a bit..hehe

Here is the car in the next door garage to us at Daytona classic 24 hour ..... nice .
Gold Wheels are as Iconic for the 991.2 RS as the Lizard paint , hence will be a lot around ..

It hadn’t been cleaned for a few weeks and had half the south of England’s fly population on it, but with the Kenolon coating it cleaned up easily and beautifully and is back to tip top condition bar 3 stone chips.

Retreated all the leather with Gtechniq products and the interior is as new too.

Sorely tempted to take it out but after 5+ hours on three cars, she’s tucked up for the night.

Very similar garage

Still not convinced £180k is the right price for this car.

Same money I can get a new 570S Track Pack.

And Huracan Performante is 240k !
570S is pretty dull after you get over the speed, but does have nice steering
Macca's are only about speed nothing else, they admit that, and only want a faster car then the Ferrari, they do build the life and sole out of them :-(
I hope the 570 LT due out will be more exciting but alass you need to have had 2 normal cars from them to get a slot !!!!

Huracan Performante is 4wd and an automatic, but yes more drama and another price point, if they were £190k I would try one.

only car in the same vain as the GT3 is the R8 RWS but still an automatic but you get that v10 engine.
Aston v12 vantage s ? Phenomenal car and in manual form a good investment as well I would have thought.

Went out for a cracking drive this evening in my manual car... just gets better and better - amazing how different GT Silver looks in different lights.
If I could have specced a .2 GT3, this is what it would look like. Maybe with some retro-style, black "Porsche" stripes on the sides, but other than that, perfect. I think GT silver is a much maligned colour by some, but IMHO it looks beautiful, classic, timeless and really, really shows a car's curves well.
Lovely looking Car Andy and I really like it on silver wheels. Have you had a geo done on the car as your front wheel appear to have a lot more camber than mine? Might be that I can’t see it so well with the black wheels but the angle appears more aggressive.

Which colour are your wheels? Got to say I’d be tempted to change to that colour when they need a refresh.
No geo done - it’s running factory spec. Wheels are regular silver.
Am considering some decals - side stripe Porsche and possibly a double centre stripe bonnet and roof all in matt black - from HH. Thought I’d keep it as delivered for a while and then take the leap (got my car in Sept). Question for anyone with decal experience out there - if you change your mind and remove decals later - I assume this can be done without leaving markings on the paint?

Yep, no marks left. They heat the stickers up and then peel off. I would only use an outfit that knows what they are doing, wouldn’t bother doing it myself...

Thank you! Definitely not going to attempt anything myself - have a feeling that wavy bubble filled lines across the roof and bonnet might not quite work...

The GT8 is OTT loud, outdated, overpriced and slow when compared to any similarly priced Audi R8,Merc AMG or GT Porsche..I love the manual Vantage V12 S and i also think the new Audi R8 RWS with its nasp V10 is great value..I don't think the big rear wing suits the GT8 or any other Aston for that matter..
Its good that we have different tastes, otherwise the world would be a very dull place indeed..

One of our businesses runs VW vans, which tend to get changed every 3 to 4 years. They have all manner of decals on and, once stripped, the week prior to p/ex, you would never know they'd been there.

That's what makes it cool :-) , hence why I like the 987.2 Spdyer over the 981.

I like outdated cars they are more fun :-) .

The new Aston is turbo , automatic with EPS steering !!!

watch this, it's cool the smiles tell the story.
