The GT8 is OTT loud, outdated, overpriced and slow when compared to any similarly priced Audi R8,Merc AMG or GT Porsche....
That's what makes it cool :-) , hence why I like the 987.2 Spdyer over the 981.I like outdated cars they are more fun :-) .
The new Aston is turbo , automatic with EPS steering !!!
watch this, it's cool the smiles tell the story.

Front engined ,rwd.
Not sure how much more old fashioned you can get, plus a nailed on future classic especially in manual form.
Your mixing up the new vantage which is an Amg turbo v8 with auto box and electrically assisted steering.

Despite the new Vantage's twin-turbo 4L V8 coupled to a ZF 8 speed auto, i still like it and guaranteed to sell like hot cakes..
Some thing quite cool about a V8 imo, and it's not slow really, I have sat in one and think it has loads of drama plus rare as anything so you won’t see another.
V12 is just a bit heavy so not as fast as you would expect and eats petrol worse than a GT4 even lol , any way not selling a manual GT3 for an Aston, just quite like the GT8 thing.

Quite, but gold wheels suit the colour nicely, don't they?

Nobody's helping my bank balance here The gold wheels are the danglies, buddy. If you can afford it, the why the hell not. Go on, send yourself to a happy place for a bit..
This is apparently the same car
And a couple of other pice I have found
Looks fantastic. Given me some inspiration for my Jet Black car, so I just emailed HGH to get pricing for similar (platinum stripe to match wheels) but with red lettering to match my calipers / platinum spoiler lettering....

GT3Alan - is the grey stripe a good colour match to the Platinum wheels? Thanks...
Hi Mooro just confirm it with Rick.... he sent me small mock up samples of the options we cam up with, and that was his matching platinum sample, but I'm not sure what he calls it but it does look perfect in the flesh against the wheels, and the Porsche on the spoiler in the same colour looks great !GT3Alan said:

JZM tweeted earlier this evening that they have just taken a black .2 GT3 into stock....doesn’t say which gearbox so I would guess it’s PDK.
It's mine, and I feel I owe many of you with whom I've conversed on this forum an explanation of what exactly it's doing there (and it's manual by the way). Like many here I waited more than a year from deposit to delivery, and my family and friends will testify just how much time I spent agonising over spec, and talking about the car as I eagerly awaited it, and then following its build process, planning decals and PPF, and how excited I was finally to take delivery. But I just didn't bond with it. Maybe the anticipation was so great that any car was destined not to deliver. I recognise that objectively it is a wonderful machine, and a thing of beauty, and that to own one is an honour, and to specify one from new an even greater one, and that I'm now destined for the PGB GT car blacklist. But for me the car was a big step up from the GT4, and with capability way beyond what is reasonable to use on the public road (and which my wife advised me that she wasn't happy even thinking of me using). And that little bit wider than the GT4 for those Sunday morning country lanes so full of cyclists, and unlikely ever to be tracked, and fighting for summer day attention with the GTS Cabriolet sitting on the same drive. So in this case it just didn't work for me how I'd hoped and imagined. And sometimes that just happens, and you have to move on. I think I need to stick to smaller fast cars. Some here will no doubt allege flipping intent. But really? I could have ticked the Touring option box, not selected personalised sills, not spent money on paint correction, detailing and PPF, not fitted Highgate House decals, not matched the specification of my GT4 as far as possible, or even gone for GT Silver! Anyway, people will believe what they believe and say what they say. But I'd like to thank everyone on this thread for their camaraderie, great photographs, entertaining minor spats, and shared experience over the last 15 months or so. https://www.jzmporsche.com/used-vehicle-details/Po...
