Porsche GT track day
Discussion
Cadwell yesterday - bit wet - an understatement in the morning, no grip on the mountain section, standing water elsewhere ensured couldn't get any heat into the cups until late morning. Only GT car in the paddock. Mostly race cars, felt more like a test session than most days i have attended. Driving standards were high though, thankfully.

This is 102 or 105 drive by which is quite high so no panic
I think it says 102 drive and 105 static, probably worth a pre check considering the entry fee.As I said on another post I’m happy to send over my silenced tips for those that need.
I was at Silverstone last year, the stewards gave me a nice photo of the car passing the finishing line, blowing quite a bit over 105db. I had a Sharkwerks on at the time. It was pretty damp that day so I wasn't even giving it the full beans. I also got invited to leave the track at Snetterton the week before, again with the Sharkwerks, but bizarrely I was at Snetts just before that with the Sharkwerks on and no issues all day. I think the weather can play a major part in the 'acoustics'. The day I was ok at Snetterton was hot and sunny, both days I got into trouble it was overcast and cooler, hence denser air!

Any of these tracks you can just turn up and pay your money to get on or do you have to book every one.Looks like holidays will be in the UK for us this year due to uncertainty with flights.
No all very much booked in advanced. In fact i dont think ive ever seen such a booked out UK scene as we're having at the mo. Joehow said:
Fantastic evening at Brands last night. Indy circuit is so intense and a bit short for the car but my god it was fun. Ken & Adam at 9e really have the old girl running absolutely spot on.
Had a great battle with a tuned 996 turbo.
Car looks fantastic Joe. Just need some BBS lm's now.......Had a great battle with a tuned 996 turbo.

Has anyone tried their 997.2 RS at Silverstone with an X Pipe in place of the Centre muffler? Worth a go or am I going to be given the boot?
Yes, I have.It tends to be hit and miss. First few times I was ok - then more recently I've been black flagged a couple of times. Once it was for breaking 107dB driveby which was a bit surprising!
I now keep a set of silencer tips in the boot and slip them on if I get warned. Fearnsport normally has them in stock. They replace the std rear tips so need a couple of spanners to install but after that noise limit is not an issue.
