Bonkers
Also, low tyre pressures, and they barely move during the lap
Those tyre pressure they run on the race cars as well, new mich slicks run at 1.8
The driver is to handsome to be taffy rsr;)were off to spa tomorrow, weather looks interesting for our weekend.
Did enjoy today at the Manthey day and Misha was mooching about as well as Mr JWW, who also drives bloody quickly.
Loads of 992 GT3RS’s out and all being spanked. Was life affirming watching the vast array of very serious Pork being used as intended.
My favourite on the day…
And two of my GT3’s propping up the rear

Watch him throw it into the left hander at 9min 50…at 200kph…just mental.

As I now realise, thanks to a whole morning of coaching from the excellent and very patient Johlen Coaching, that corner (and a few others too) needs only a lift in a 997.1 GT3 and is then full gas. Also, low tyre pressures, and they barely move during the lap
I'm sure the grip and aero of the 992 GT3 RS make the job a lot easier too, but the driver is making an extremely good job of making most of it look very matter of fact. Kudos.

That corner is indeed just momentous lift in a Mezger platform, so was not that impressive...Also, low tyre pressures, and they barely move during the lap
What really blew my mind was the 232km/h with room to spare through the left kink at Schwedenkreuz... That is a massive consequences corner and the way the 992 went through it as it was in a Waitrose carpark is beyond impressive...

Design & geometry the same for plastic and crp wing element apparently. Got told to me that the rework involves changed bolts and shims that are appernetly being sent out this week. Lets see....
From my experience, installing fixings into motorsport carbon fibre structural components and bodywork isn’t easy. It’s a relatively brittle substrate compared to plastic. It’s also quite complex to perform accurate fatigue and finite element analysis on the components. Plastic will begin to crack and show early signs of fatigue then failure during testing, but carbon just fails. Would appear that this is what’s happened here..?

Geometry the same for the PA and CRP part, the guide in the end plates is identical. Parts arrived at German OPCs, today. It is indeed just a shim/washer set and the correct assembly of the mechanism is checked, does not take long so I can pick finally up mine tomorrow at the latest.
I presume you remove the wing end plate to expose the edge of the moveable wing, and then the guide bolts into the end of the wing..?RDMcG said:
Mega video. Watching the graphics of the aero moving at the bottom was a great way to visualise what’s is going on. RTPT said:

Incredible calibration of all those systems.Great example is the fast right after Karussel and before Hohe Acht (4:15 lap time) he has a fairly big lift at 200kph, and as he turns in, both front and rear wing close.

I actually don't mind how over-the-top Jason Camissa's content is for Hagerty. Their track content and drag races are some of the most insightful and well produced anywhere across TV and online mediaGassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
