Nice spec...Manual, Folding Buckets and No Cage. Very considered box ticking has gone on there.

Mine's got the loose play in 4th too....it doesn't really bother me but then I was driving my 997 GTS to the station this morning which has absolutely no play in 4th whatsoever and made me think more about it. Mine's going in to RPM in a couple of weeks for a running in oil change...think I'll ask them what they think as I am sure they'll have seen a few by now.
Sent a video to Porsche on this currently waiting to hear but expect 'normal' for the car response.

Probably a non issue.

466 pages already but unless I missed it I have seen little or no mention of the 6 point harness that forms part of the 991.2GT3 CS package. The item supplied has 2” shoulder straps. These are only suitable if worn in conjunction with a HANS device. The harness is so marked by the manufacture. I don’t race and only do track days on a social basis and like most other people I see on track days I don’t use a HANS device. Maybe I should but that’s another matter.

The point I’m making is that anyone not wearing a HANS device but using a 6 point harness with 2” straps in their 991.2 GT3 should be aware of the risks they run.
I have changed my set up to 3” shoulder straps.beer

I also have a PDK new gen GT3 and have not noticed a change in Sport in terms of power delivery.
I'll experiment next time to see..If its there then another interesting snippet of info Porsche failed to disclose.
Yeah, its pretty marked IMO, injecting a bit more go into an admittedly tight and new GT3 experience. Guess I’m just impatient.

This aside, just try a few 3rd gear roll ons at 3k and 4k rpm.

So, the PDK-Sport button....

I thought it was gearbox settings only, but also find the in-gear torque delivery to be much more aggressive?

Placebo or fact?
Not noticed that .

what risks, the biggest risks with a harness is a snapped neck, hence the Hans device, what risk does the 2" straps carry over 3"

From what I've read and been told by others the 2" straps are made to work and fit Hans devices. So any load from a accident is transferred through the strap and Hans devices into the body spreading the impact load similar to the equivalent 3" strap. Using 2" straps without Hans will put more pressure on the body in an impact which could cause injuries to the collar bones.

Road cars have air bags and that changes it all ... so no need for harnesses .... but they look cool on the high street and watching the other half trying to do it up

What kind of person would use a harness during normal driving?

However, it makes a big difference on track.

In a shocking development OPC Solihull have two more "low mileage" GT3's on their books...Sapphire Blue Touring and a Carmine Full Fat

I think that's six 991.2 GT3's they've had up for sale now....probably 50% of the cars they were allocated.

not a lot to say, no one will report it , as it upsets the owners, pretty pointless posting it on here imo.
this time round rather than choose buyers with history, most deals have been about money hence we have seen more flippers, no ones getting black listed either that's just scare stories as the OPC are in on the flipping !

Cars are NOT going to local clients, 1/2 of the stock has been flipped strange how this has not made Autocar this time round.

It's hard not to be infuriated by the whole shambles, so many enthusiasts denied a car to line the dealers pockets. They care about their bottom line and the rest is just lip service

They're not stupid, think these are from GT3RS customers swapping their cars, although all these cars sat there are going to drop in price inevitably unless they want to have £900k+ in their showroom for long time rather than in their bank account.

What's the point of an Autocar story, nothing will change, as long as there's low interest finance there's plenty of other buyers.

As a customer with two cars on my drive and two more on order they told be I needed to 'build a relationship', meanwhile they're selling GT3's to people with no 'relationship' and insta-flipping other cars. Two orders cancelled, one Porsche sold, the other going in two weeks, good luck to Porsche, I'll not be buying their cars again. I doubt they'll care, but it's all you can do is not buy their cars.

Seems a little odd to chuck your toys out of the pram in protest at a large corporations handling of market forces.

Just think, you're now missing out on some of the best drivers cars ever made!

I can live with that, I put 8000 miles on a 911 in a year, I drove it across europe, I've had lots of Porsche time, maybe I should never say never, maybe one day I'll get a Touring, but at present I'm soured to Porsche.

Anyway there's more cars out there than I'll ever have time to own, I still want a Gallardo Superleggera, a 720s, a 458 Spider, an F12, maybe a manual F430, and I can't change car that often so that's going to take a lot of time, while there are always new cars coming... I'll be fine.

nothing there is a as good as a manual 991.2 GT3 though, most are auto's and the only manual will fall apart, ok it might not but the exhaust will fall off and most of the front end will wear out in 3 seconds.

Be interesting to know what 2 Porkers you had on your drive and what 2 you had on order !!! because paying £35k overs would have been cheaper !

I wouldnt place Ferrari any higher in the moral pecking order and you mention 3 in your bucket list. Don't you have to be a chosen one to get a new limited edition Ferrari? Same as Porsche then.

Lamborghini belong to the same corporate empire as Porsche so wasted effort there. So that leaves McLaren and they are just dullsmile

Also the depreciation and running costs of those you mention will pay for any overs on a GT3
