Topped out at £14,600 ( didn't meet reserve) last time around.

I think I've posted this car before, but today it's gone for 11k on the auction. (111kmiles + cab)

https://www.swva.co.uk/classic-car/porsche-911-996...

On the same auction, this tired old fella went for 29.5k (over 100k miles + cab)

https://www.swva.co.uk/classic-car/porsche-911-car...

It is quite strange, I have been closely watching these auctions for the last few weeks as I sold my both cars recently. After today's auction, I went to Lexus instead (bought an approved/used low-mile good example) to satisfy our daily activities laugh

I'm postponing my pork purchase to until the doom day (29 march 2019) but still closely be watching hehe

Under £60. When I booked it in the guy said if there were any leaks etc then they wouldn't charge me. It's not worked since I got it, bloke I bought it off said it just needed a regas, but don't they all say that? biggrin

New plate for my little road racer. I wanted "11 RSR" in the recent DVLA auction, but it went for over 8k hammer and that's just silly.

Anyway, happy with this. Ohlins next and maybe baffled sump, then we're almost done.

Great thanks, mine is just weak, so guessing it will work with new gas. Going on holiday for 3 week so will report back when I’m back

Feel I should share a bit of spec for my car...

'99 aerokit, left the factory plain but I have ambered it
Factory sports seats, three spoke wheel
Sunroof
M030 with B6s
LWFW
Top Gear manifolds / TdF Ti studs
TG 200 cell 63mm cats
Dansk boxes
RSS semi solids
Hard gearbox bush
Fuchs 18s
Braided lines, decent fluid
Lightweight carpets
New clutch and other bits, 'upgraded' IMS, new shift cables

With the following deleted:
Rear seats, lower console, radio, amps, CD changer, 10 speakers, all sound suppression, rear belts and fittings, spare wheel, tools, rear wiper.

The reason for going Ohlins next is to try to match the set up with the reduced weight. Its a bit floaty now.
Have an underdrive pulley waiting to go on, and will probably put a 997 GT3 shift mech at the same time.
Baffled sump at the next oil service maybe.

Definitely no ducktail now I've seen a few with them, and I'm resisting buckets.

Mine goes in to have a broken pipe repaired in about 10 days, not worked for weeks typically.

smile thanks. It's about right for me, and that's what matters! My friends call it the bad porsche. As in, I've slowly made it worse for their tastes, but then they're in show cars, not go cars.

Is it the Powerflex gearbox bush you have fitted? If so how are you finding it?

Did it at the same time as the engine mounts, but the combined effect was a significant tightening of the shift quality, and a very small change in the amount of cabin buzz.

You can tell the engine is more tightly controlled; it almost seems to work the suspension more cleanly. The whole car feels tighter.

Cheers. Had it just over a year. It's my third 996, and I think I've got it right this time.

6.2 GT3 didn't reallysuit my use pattern.
98 C2 was a bit too ratty to upgrade (the bodywork was nasty).
Both were fun and got some proper use though.

Can you post a profile shot on the Fuchs please?

Which seats are you considering. Seems to be a void, on the second hand market at least, in OEM choices between 996/997 Sport seats at £600-800 and the GT3s at about £4,000!

Gt3 seats 4K! Really? That’s insane... but I guess genuine ones are like hens teeth. Makes that red car with cage on the money if you can be bothered faffing and finding std seats... etc

Here you go. Would probably go unbranded Recaro PPs in leather.
