No wonder the motor trade gets a bad name! Suggest you name the OPC concerned. What on earth is the point of misdescribing a car in the vain hope that it will be purchased ? Total waist of time to all concerned. Have you made the DP aware of what happened? I used to take orders for vehicles from people who were miles away but used to write across the order form " Note deal subject to satisfactory viewing if not deposit fully refundable" I never had a vehicle in those circumstances cancel. To be honest Robbo I am surprised that you are dealing with the situation so calmly.

Rest assured another car will come along, I sincerely wish you better luck. Though it has nothing to do with luck more the professionalism of the dealer concerned!!

OPC up North, have a few 991RS's for sale.

Offered car as one owner, 'out of box' condition. turns out to have been a well known heavily tracked car, with some ongoing issues regarding warranty on the PCCB's, and was sold to and being held at an independent 'dealer' in Bletchley, Milton Keynes over a year ago

Contacted the previous owner, and saved me a considerable amount of hassle, for which I am very grateful.

No direct apology offered relating to the affair, just an email stating can only go on what their 'buyer' informs them about the car.

They have now confirmed they are refunding me the £5k, but staggeringly have offered me another car, as if nothing untoward had happened !.

Think we all need to be very careful as regards to who we deal with, and thorough checks as detailed in the above post, need to be undertaken regardless of whether dealing with an OPC or an Independent. Staggering state of affairs.

Sorry to hear the news.

Back to the stickers; there are two GT3s (i.e. not RS ones) in the same grey and i think they look much nicer without the stickers. Mr Houlbrook has an RS in grey also with no stickers and i think it looks phenomenal.
