How does the power of a 996T compare to a 997 3.8? In terms of actual driving? Is it in a completely different league or just a bit faster?
A standard 996 turbo feels much faster than a 997C2S when you really get it wound up, it’s also more nimble, and without PASM synthesising what you feel through the chassis, you get a better feel for what it’s doing. I’ve never really liked 997s, so I’m probably biased towards the 996...

Mine has had a fair few modifications (not done by me, but the previous owner) so it’s got bigger turbochargers, revised inlet plenum, uprated fuel pump, lightweight exhaust with 200cell cats, paddle clutch etc. It’s been mapped to around 600bhp. It’s quite a handful, but I absolutely love it....

Awesome, so at 420bhp it’s much faster than a 997s and yours has got half as much more power on top of that! Sounds extreme as my 997 c4s wasn’t exactly slow
