Fair enough but suggest driving one properly
I've got two porsches and a Gtr right now
And can happily tell you that you are wrong
The ownership experience has been superb on the GTR
Equalling any of the 10 Porsches I've owned in my life
Ironically the GTR is quirky and mechanical in a way that Porsches owners
Would appreciate if they could see past a badge
But then again that's why some people buys Porsches I suppose
You're wasting your time Peter, very sad to read the comments such as the last few posts. I've got two porsches and a Gtr right now

"Imagine what the neighbours would think if you had a Nissan on you drive" is all that I can hear.

Agree. It's not a caae of "driving it properly". We couldn't give a S**t how it drives, it's all the other factors that mean it's an absolute no no.
Oh, meaning - I have no interest in how a car drives as long as peoplethink I have money and taste
Fair enough, enjoy

Oh geez ... lighten up datsun drivers ... did your humour leave at the same time as your class when you bought one?"Imagine what the neighbours would think if you had a Nissan on you drive" is all that I can hear.
I know they are great cars. Though I haven't driven one myself, many people whose opinion I respect have and they all say they are great driving cars.
Bothered about the Porsche badge, me? I'm craving an MGB GT ...

Sorry James, no sense of humor failure here and if you had taken the time to check the contents of my garage you would realise the other statement you made, is also incorrect. Now please explain how this comment below should be interpreted as humourous. It just smacks of badge-snobbery to me:

I think his previous post made it pretty clear. Nothing at all to do with badge snobbery jumped out at me when I read it.We couldn't give a S**t how it drives, it's all the other factors that mean it's an absolute no no.
Simply that other factors, like the interior and styling didn't appeal. Same as me, the wife hated the interior and the feel of the car and loved the 911, so that was the the GTR off of the shortlist. Everyone has different criteria. As he said, great car, just not for him.

Tell us about the 500E !!! Built by Porsche...
Brilliant car. Has totally surprised me as to how good it is. It has very low miles, lovely condition and all the interior bits etc. are so fresh considering it's 20 years old. Must have been so ahead of it's time when it was released. Sure fire classic in my opinion.anissut said:

The ex Bramley 20k miler? Amazing cars and yes a sure fire classic.
No, not ex Bramley. It has 43k miles so not as low as the Bramley one.Very few decent ones come in for sale. A lot of them are either very high miles or need a lot of work to get up to scratch.
For those of you interested in the 500E see the thread I put in the Mercedes forum a few days ago.
