991.2 Turbo S vs 992 Turbo S values

991.2 or 992 prices seem high.I am not sure what actually sale prices are but collecting cars recently sold a 992 Turbo S for £176k (including fees) private sale.

Love my 991.2 Turbo S, compared it to my mates 992 turbo on another thread this week, saying how the 991.2 feels more sporty etc etc.
However, dailying my 991.2 (probs 50-100miles per day) - there are a few bits (tech, age and 991 related) that annoy me. I’m of the opinion that the 991/992 generation change made the new cars more competent as a daily, but also took away some of the magic.
However, as I use my car so regularly (half the time pootling along at 50mph) then maybe I am in the wrong generation!
So, I’m interested in opinions where people have gone from 991.2 Turbo S to a 992 Turbo S - and whether it’s worth £40-50k to swap.
FYI I back to backed 991.2 Turbo S to 992 Turbo (with steels) and was underwhelmed and didn’t see the value in changing. But does the 992 Turbo S have some extra secret sauce?

I have a 992.1 turbo s cab. I have driven at the Porsche experience centre 3x turbo s and 1x turbo.
To be frank there was little in the way of discernible difference.
You are at a level of so much power 70 bhp difference when you have 650on tap is marginal.
The only thing I did notice was some slight brake fade on the turbo after pushing hard for some time. On the road you would never find this out.
The s has " prestige " given it is the top of the line and that seems to help values. If you look at it objectively the gts is much better value for money.
The turbo s also has more kit as standard but this value increase of course is the Porsche specialty of selling for £2000 what is standard on a vw polo !

The out and out performance doesn’t really bother me, nor does the size of the screen - in fact I find the interior of the 992 plastic fantastic and whilst more modern, not as well built as the 991.
What does interest me in the chassis you mentioned, I.e how does it compare both on it and pootling around. Plus other bits like engagement via sound etc?
992 turbo had a nice urgent sound for the last 2k revs, but it all sounded fake?

The nicest 991.2 turbo s were all sold a few months ago for between £100k and £115k. The ones in the current classifieds not seen anything I'd want other than a Carmine Red 991.2 turbo which I thought was a bargain on PH Auctions for £69k. Marmite colour and interior but I loved this.

I was bidding on that car, but then couldn t get past the red on red spec, and I just know the German delivered uk spec car would bite you one day on the insurance if an import marker is on it.
Still would prefer a 991.2 Turbo, can’t be arsed with CENTRE lock wheel punctures and replacement costs of ceramics.
