Buying Advice 997 C2S
Discussion
Hi guys
Looking for an appraisal of this car I’ve just put a deposit down on - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
I’ve been looking for a manual gen 2 C2S for a while and Ashgood have a nice example. Good mileage/competitive price etc and they’ve agreed to put the car through its 111 check once the warranty expires and deal with any issues so I just pay for the Porsche warranty. Only concern is the slightly delayed services. 2.5 years for service 1-2 and 2 month delay between 3 and 4. I’ve called my local OPC who say no worries provided they do a service before the warranty but Ashgood have agreed to pay for 111 at their local OPC and pay for anything it throws up and I just pay for the warranty.
How do you think these slight discrepancies will affect selling on and generally how good a buy do you think it is? Cheers

Thanks for replies all. The same car with an OPC would undoubtably be around £50k so I think it’s pretty well priced. Agree on the steering wheel, my previous Cayman S had the updated wheel and it was lovely. I really wasn’t sure whether to go for PDK or manual as PDK are commanding slightly higher prices at the moment but having driven one I think the first PDK’s are great but not quite there. The up shifts aren’t as crisp as on the 991 and in 997 guise I think the manual is more engaging and as it’ll be a weekend car the PDK just didn’t feel the same. Do you guys think the PDK will still command a premium in a few years or the manuals will overtake due to rarity and the fact that everything is going PDK?
