1999 996 C4 Tip. 96k.

I'm dropping the engine on my Porsche this weekend to change the Air Oil Separator and whilst it is out its a good time to get everything inspected and carry out some preventative works.

Any advice on bits to change, clean, inspect. Pipework, clips, pumps??

Also, IMS. If no sign of wear or oil weep i've been advised to leave it alone, do you agree?

It's had a recent gearbox service, coils etc so standard serviceable items done.

Any help or advice appreciated and any part numbers would be helpful.

Thanks

Thanks.

Engine dropped out very nicely Saturday and now getting a bit carried away with changing bits and thinking about powder coating.

Will change the brake lines as well as most pipes, some pulleys, water pump, drive belt, engine mounts etc, probably doesn't need it but as we've gone this far!

Not too sure about the IMS bearing though. Sometimes it can do more harm then good fiddling with something that doesn't need it. Anyone thoughts on this?
