Porsche GT track day

After the other thread, how about all getting together for a friendly track day with our GT cars?

Open to suggestions on location and dates if those that would be interested put some suggestions down dovetail it into something that works.

Just a friendly get together to enjoy the cars with some friendly banter.

A lot of us meet up for Donny track evening as it stands, always a good group if some one posts they will be there.
costs are only £150, loads though out the summer and 3 hours is enough for most and the cars.

So no need to get anything extra planned imo.

I am still up for a timed event, I have done the odd how fast event at Bedford.

The PCGB events 911R refers to are sold out. Personally having a GT only TD would be fun, don’t forget this year it’s the 20th Anniversary of the GT3 so seems appropriate to me

I'll look through some options and post a list later on for both events and see what suits everyone.

That was my intention to make it a GT only TD with folks from here.

not keen on £500 Silverstone days, it's a rip off and not a fun track.

If you want to organise an Isle of Mann trip start a new thread for it, it's clear by the title what the intention is for this one.

And rather than suggesting one circuit date option, at least try to show some flexibility for dates that might work for people other than yourself.

Guys, if you can list out what days/dates you can/would like to do, I think if we make it either Donington or Silverstone as these are relatively central.

We can then see what the best is for a group gathering, if we run the thread say until a week tomorrow, I'll collate it and come up with a short list for early w/c 11 March?

I've added the last few posters but it will be easier to keep track if you use this master list and add your name and what you can do.

As there seems to be a bit of a split between Donington and Silverstone then maybe we do two, I and a few others would do both and it opens up both options.

Chaps, I've put together the below which shows who is able to do what days, and which one for SS and Donington is the most popular (highlighted). Names highlighted I've put the dates I've interpreted are ok - please check and let me know if I've made a mistake.

Let's keep it going for another week say to see how many we can get for each day?

Most popular date for Silverstone is 3 June and for Donington 18 June unsilenced.

Those still to have dates confirmed from are Porsche 911R, Digga and Yellow491 for SS.

Thanks guys, I'm making the assumption based on consensus of most people on the one day as the preferred option.

For SS as Digga has outlined he can't make the 3 June, gtrsralph and yellow491 can you make that date if so we have a full house.

Based on Donington we have a full house assuming TonyF, La Source, isaldiri, xbowdan, gtsralph and Steve Rance don't want to or can't do Donington on this date?
