Sold my spyder a few weeks ago ,thinking I would buy something else in the spring. Looking already at a nice white R lovely car, pretty much good spec but pdk . Don't know what to think about it really. What s your thoughts?
PDK - it's the future, rather like garlic bread. You can be lazy and leave it in auto or change gear manually (without the possibility of over-rev issues)- jusr make sure you get the wheel with paddles rather than buttons.

Get a manual now while they are still available is my advice :-).PDK is only getting better every gen takes about 4 attempts , I am sure they have learnt a lot of the new 991 PDK which should filter down to the 981 face lift.
As most say 987.2 buy a manual 981 buy PDK the issue there is e 981 has v1 electric steering which sucks.
so i don't really get this but why is the the Cayman R better than a new 981 Cayman S with buckets and the sport chassis? Obviously 1 is cheaper than the other? The 981 benefits from improvements but has electric steering. To me, unless you love the limited model nature or the looks of the 987, it would seem like the newer cayman is the better buy. And i had a cr before so i know how good it is, I am just not sure a new CS with the right options is any worse.

I don't think anyone has actually driven a 981C with the sport chassis?Certainly, my OPC doesn't know (or didn't when I asked) of one being ordered....
I'd like to try one though, and would consider it a replacement for my Spyder with a few well chosen options (like upholders).

CR is one of the best cars I have owned for a road car.the steering and 911 looks of the 981 is a non starter for me and the main factor to not owning one.
I also love the 987.2 looks and you can tell it's a Cayman, the 981 looks bland, it's lost the nice rear haunches and the front is pure 911.
the new car is also under powered and imo you may as well buy a basic 991, get the +2 and a real 350BHp, why own a Cayman over a basic 991 ?

Do upholders prevent ones stockings from slipping down due to the alcantara seats?Certainly, my OPC doesn't know (or didn't when I asked) of one being ordered....
