Just wondered if anyone went to the JCT600 Whitby run this morning. Loads of nice Porsche examples new and old.
Plenty of people there and the food was great.
The only GT3 RS was stunning, along with a yellow Boxster Spyder.

I think I was sat next to the man and wife that own the GT3, the car looked immaculate.
The yellow Spyder looked fabulous too, the interior matching trim really set it off.

Look forward to next year.

Bloody love that italian blue colour Cayman. It reminds me of a Raleigh Chopper I got for my 11th birthday back in early 70's. Class.

I wondered why there were a few more Porsche's around than usual in the area. I'm at my holiday place in Robin Hood's Bay and spotted, as well as waved, to a couple of Caymans going thorough Sleights. Cracking day for you all, apart from the wind maybe wink

Having already bought a new Porsche from a JCT600 owned OPC and having another one on order from the same dealer it would have been nice to have been invited... frown

Make sure they have your correct email . I'd bought 10 cars we couldn't work out why I never got invited to anything . Runs / launches etc . Turned out wrong email in that particular part of the system.

I got invited to Whitby by PC Leeds, even though I haven't spent any money with them for about 18 months. I also know some Porsche owners who never spend a penny at any JCT Porcshe dealerships but still get invited to events like model launches. Don't understand the logic of who they invite but I'm not complaining.

(Mine is the grey Boxster Spyder in the 4th photo - bought from PC Leicester!)

Good selection of cars to view, according to a sign there was 133 in total expected.
Spotted 3 Spyders (981, no 987) and all very different spec.

The invite came via email. So if by any chance they have it wrong, you would have been missed. I think it was all generated by the events organiser in Leeds, terri-michelle.haywood@jct600.co.uk. Maybe worth dropping her an email.

Ahhh, yes, the old knacker removal system. A sad loss to family planning.

What time did the Leeds contingent actually arrive at Cross Butts? We set off from Leeds in dribs and drabs and gave up following the prescribed route about halfway through. The traffic on the A64 meant we were pretty much stationary for three quarters of an hour so we peeled off at Strensall.

Took a route over Howardian Hills and North York Moors (avoiding the A169) and it was nearly completely clear. We didn't save much time but we managed to give the car a decent honking. The group from Newcastle said they'd managed to stay in convoy so maybe a different route from Leeds next time? Or make it a breakfast meet?

If my memory serves me correctly Raleigh were forced to remove the T Bar gear selector from the relaunched Chopper due to "health & safety concerns". whistle

I think we ended up merging with Leeds on the A64, it was chaos. The Newcastle bunch had a better run, as I think they merged on the Whitby road.
Our Sheffield bunch managed to all stay together until the A64 York traffic lights, where it merges 2 lanes into 1. At that point I was busting for a wee, and had to stop in a local pub. The OPC people in Sheffield said they tried a breakfast stop last year and it was a nightmare getting everyone back together. But nothing stopping a few making a different route with breakfast.
