Over Revs Report with 2nd Service
Discussion
Just had my GT4's major service carried out at an OPC and as I'm the second owner I was interested in getting an over revs report, the service advisor told me they checked and as there are no over revs there is no data or report so I couldn't get any paperwork to prove it, only a copy of a report with no issues, which helps with peace of mind
The service cost just under £1500.00 including spark plugs, brake fluid, drive belt check and MOT.

This is Porsche's fixed price service price list but not all OPCs adhere to it.

The service was £975.00 the spark plug, brake fluid, drive belt and MOT made up the difference.
£975 for a oil change and a top up of the washer fluid. The things needed you pay extra for, I really don’t get Porsche servicing costs.
Main dealer labour rates are a joke, your just paying for there fancy dealerships and coffee makers.

I always had my Ferrari serviced from a specialist who were even cheaper.

As mentioned in the other thread about the 4 year service for a GT4, you've been done mate. £975 should include all that under the new pricing system. Your OPC has selected the service price from the new system and the plugs, fluid and belt from the old system where they were always extra to the service. We should be able to trust an OPC to apply the right servicing to our cars. Not misuse our trust to pull a fast one.boxsey said:

Phil - talk to your OPC and ask what they would do if they found out they had been charged 50% too much....

lists who plays by the fixed pricing. OP, if the OPC is question is on the list it would seem you have v good grounds to go back and have a chat.

I recently had Skoda conveniently forget fixed price servicing when my wife took the car in and insisted that I had given my wife the wrong prices. They changed their tune pretty quickly when I phoned up and as a gesture of goodwill they ended only charging half price for the next service.

Porsche GB should issue a countrywide directive to its centres about it's servicing prices. Many might be franchises but they still trade as 'Porsche Approved'. At the moment it's a post code lottery as to what we get charged!
It's not the franchises that are the problem - it's Porsche own dealerships; Reading, Guildford, West London, etc that charge £1600+ for a £975 service, want 2-days for it, and need months advance notice for a courtesy car.Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
