I reality you don't know how the other drivers will cope if you lose it on a wet corner with one of the them hard on your tail..The problem is made much worse with Cup 2 tyres whereas the others might be on more wet friendly ones.Too many unknowns for a novice(as i am) to dice it with potentially drivers who are very experienced and know SS like the back of their hand.
Its pretty daunting to learn track work in your own PAJ when you're also distracted by the others coming up behind you in pouring wet conditions.
Is it any different to attending any weather condition trackday? Its pretty daunting to learn track work in your own PAJ when you're also distracted by the others coming up behind you in pouring wet conditions.
Atleast at SS at the PEC course, youve only got 3(?) cars out on track and 2 sets of eyes looking ahead and 2 looking back

Supercar Sourcing have a build slot for sale "supposedly a customer" has a build slot and you can spec it how you want with a 10k premium. What a piss take.
That slot has been taken already. But here is my argument, I have never brought a Porsche from any dealer, meaning I never had any relationship with the company that will allow me to even be on the waiting list. Additionally, from a money perspective, I don't have to take a depreciation loss from the other models of Porsche and this 10k premium being the cheapest on the slot market makes it a good deal in my eyes.

I was afraid of the trustworthiness of the guy, but we did manage to sign a contract over and I took photos over of the guy's identification, which I believe to secure the trustworthiness. Also, I only paid him the premium after he has shown me the receipt and the order matching my specs. anonymous said:

I just saw it, but the experience I got from calling the dealers and emailing them was there were very few allocations to a lot of dealers. Ultimately, it is an opportunity for me to get into this GT world and hopefully I could work around to put myself forward for a 992 GT3 slot I guess.marx.miami.gt4 said:

As you say paying £10K for an early 718GT4 slot is much more prudent than losing money on others you don't really want, with the gamble of maybe securing a GT4 sometime next year.Best of luck with your new GT4 and welcome to Pistonheads.Taffy66 said:

Thank you. It's already in production and delivery at the end of January, so I would say that is a pretty early car overall. After all, all I wanna do is enjoy the car that Porsche makes. I hope to meet up with some of the communities and enjoy some cool driving sessions.
Fair play to you....great being able to spec your own car and I really don’t think that’s too bad at all...especially as you rightly point out you’d have to have bought something that would cost you more than £10k to own to get a slot yourself. Great that it’s gone to someone that wants to enjoy it!

Go on post the pics on here so he can be hunted down like the dog he is. Boiling oil? Concrete shoes? High voltage? Death by the gnawing of goats? The Porsche Massive can decide his fate.Good luck with your new GT4

In hindsight, maybe you had better wait till you have your car first before leaking.

Hi all, this is my first post here. But I am that dude who bought the slot. I know I have contributed to this 'flipping' problem.

Good for you. Building a 'relationship' with an OPC costs way more than £10k!But here is my argument, I have never brought a Porsche from any dealer, meaning I never had any relationship with the company that will allow me to even be on the waiting list.
