It's only £129 for an open pit lane day on the full GT circuit in November - in fact it was only £99 when I booked, which was unbelievable for a Saturday! Fingers crossed for the weather, but I've done a day in November at Bedford for the past few years and it has always been dry and bright - here's hoping.

There are a couple of others from this very thread already signed up, and I'm assuming that cmoose will be attending depending on what he's driving by then :-)
Booked on this too Look forward to hearing that PSE in person as well as stretching the legs on the R.http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackday/index.p...

Which such a well thought out and incredibly detailed description, one would be left thinking you don't really want to sell it
well the car sold to me. Its got a amazing spec (why I bought it). And if anyone is looking to buying a car Fizzbom is a super nice guy to deal with.I have no answer for individual days but I insure my cars with Competition car Insurance for road and track use (no affiliation). Typically costs maybe £100/year more than just road use but includes 5 track days. Well worth it in my opinion. £1000 additional excess on track and no third party liability i.e. they are purely insuring your own car. I understand the track day organisers waiver prevents 3rd party claims being made though I know there has been debate as to whether these waivers would truly stand up in court if negligence on your part was being considered.

Talking of track days, do you guys have track day insurance? OI've been looking around and can't get it for less than about £250 for a day in the R at Snetterton, is this about right?
I insure my Cayman R with Mannings. They cover me for unlimited track days which are by a recognized organizer or car club, I don't even need to inform them, however there is a 10% of value excess on track days and Nurburgring is not covered on public days.I had quotes of about £250 from compare sites and Mannings were about £550 if I remember correctly. They offer other benefits too like your choice of repairer and a Porsche loaner if damaged.

Need some new pads for mine. I want to get some Pagid RS29s all round. Found some with the wear sensors for £500 all in from a Porsche parts specialist and will swap them over myself. Is £500 about right for both fronts and rears?
£500 sounds a lot to me, however I'd take the wear sensors out and loop back the wires if you're doing track days as they melt and short out very easily setting the wear indicator light prematurely ajondyh said:

Ok thanks Ajondyh - that's helpful. How much do you think I can get them for the Pagid part number is 2405 for the front and 2406 for the rears. I did think £500 sounded rich but I've no idea what the actual cost is?
I always found design 911 or Demon Tweeks are reasonable. I use Mintex F series personallyPorscheGT4 said:
I paid £443 last time I ordered a set for the R, but then you need a load of damping plates
just be pleased you don't have 6 pots, my Spyder pads are well over £600
Yes I've seen them for around that price and I've enquired at a couple of places that don't advertise prices. just be pleased you don't have 6 pots, my Spyder pads are well over £600
