Our cars are production buddies! Mine was completed this week too
So how long do the Porsche Centre need the car to prepare it for sale? Presumably there's a pre-delivery inspection, DVLA registration, maybe some software loading of UK options?
Mine was ready in a couple of days....

Just returned from a blast tonight. It might keep this car forever! The speed at which it covers ground is amazing. Think this could be a weapon on the track with a few choice mods. Feels more than 340bhp too. Definitely faster than the E92 M3.

I usually take out gap insurance (currently ALA) but to date fortunately not had to use it. Has anyone taken out other add on's, chip and scratch, tire and alloy wheel, and made use of them?

Gap insurance seems sensible on a new car. I'll be seeing the OPC on Monday to complete the deal. I think they're pushing tyre cover as well - with 20" wheels that might be a wise choice too.
Be doing my best to get them thrown in with the deal, always hated spending money on insurances

Gap from the OPC really isn't an option IMO. Very expensive and even when they offered me 50% off I still got a better quote from a web based company. Never bothered with the other two. Great news about your order I guess Silverstone was a success?

Currently looking at a ALA gap insurance. It seems very cheap if compared to the quote my OPC gave me.
Any risk with ALA?

I'll only take insurance if they throw it in for free smile

The Experience day was a great laugh. Instructor / consultant was a chap named Rob. Very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, I arrived a bit woozy after a bad trip to the centre, then my head quickly got worse. Had to give up the track after an hour or so and take a drive on the local roads instead.
Overtaking trucks on the B roads around Silverstone is a joy in the GTS. Acceleration is spectacular, much faster than my 996 or the wife's V8 Vantage.
My wife had a go on the tracks to finish the time - she hasn't stopped talking about it yet. Neither of us could unsettle the Cayman, no matter how hard we hit the corners - it's a lot more capable than anything I have ever driven.

Got my spec down to 2 (external colour trying to decide).

PF3G4B83

PF7W66VO

Down at Silverstone in early November. Holding off placing my order until then. So far GAP insurance is only discount I have been able to negotiate (thrown in as a freebie).

Welcome view on spec (it's going to be a daily driver).

Soz, must have typed in wrong. It's the exact same spec but exterior in yellow. Decisions decisions

Carrera white metallic.

That yellow is nothing special.

With glossy black exteriors you need Carrera wheels with glossy black wheels.

Yellow a bit too marmite for me come resale, but at the end of the day buy the colour YOU like..

For me, if I was specing it to 70k I'd want ceramics - I love them, great performance, great on track days, last ages, and make cleaning the wheels a piece of cake. Good come resale too, makes your car stand out from the crowd.

I probably like them because I'm an old duffer. That said, all of the wheels look fine to me.

I tried in August but was too late for the November build cut off so would have had to wait until May next year for delivery !

Decided not to bother
