Water only forms on the rear screens of most Porsches when left parked.
However, the airflow will clear this once on the move, especially if polished with Rain-X, which is what most race cars use.
Only the SUVs need the rear wiper/washer system.

Nice one. Have they given you and shipping and delivery to the dealer dates
I got an email today saying my car will probably be the first customer GTS 4.0 to arrive at my OPC and in preparation about activating the tracking services in MyPorsche (where I can see VIN for the new car). I'll just let them get on with it now really.Maxym said:
Nowt wrong with a rear wiper and I've had them on a 993, 997 and two 981 Caymans. New 991.2 is without though. I hope I get on OK...;)
Aye. Had rear wipers on my 997 Carrera S, my Cayman R and my recently departed 981 GTS and make life so much easier where my car predominantly sits out in the drive and I have to reverse into my turning point before heading of into the sunset, the mist, the rain or the snow whatever Scottish weather brings ha ah.Enjoy the 991.2....where my mate has the 991.1 S (complete with wiper) and has the best of times with it at Knockhill circuit.
Just as well for all of us that there wasn't an option for deletion of front wipers....for the sake of aesthetics!!!!

In comparison to UK availability, a lot, but ok 'a few' then. A thank you would have been nice. As far as availability, the same goes for all Porsche models, you can walk into any Porsche centre in Germany and order a 718 Spyder or GT4 and you will have a wait, but they will fulfil the order, they are however more expensive there though. Rather than here where walking into Porsche centre off the street and getting an GT model allocation is virtually unheard of, unless you turn up in a 720s and they take pity on you.
