I had a confirmed June build slot. My dealer called last week to say the slot is now cancelled. They don't know if they will be receiving any more slots. Very disappointed but hard to complain with what's currently going on in the world.

Similar to mine. Completion is expected at the end of May. Likely to move around before it is all confirmed. N54 said:

Not sure your OPC is telling the truth here.
AFAIK there are no allocations for 2023 and the allocations are usually issued quarterly.
Ask your OPC to show you the vehicle build plan.

If the car isn't allocated, it will show as not allocated.
My OPC showed me the 2022 build plan and there were 8 gt4 allocations for the whole year. They indicated that 2022 will be the last year for the gt4.

Then April / May and now July.
I’ve been told it needs to have a new order as it’s a 23 model year.
Not sure why they would string me along if they aren’t going to give me a car, but what do you do.
If you create a fuss they will tell you to take it or leave it I guess.

That seems pretty similar to the 2 new Porsches I have ordered to date. If they've told you when the build slot is booked for and taken a deposit, you have an allocation. Build dates then move a bit depending on what's happening in the factory. Gets more exciting when they tell you the spec. freeze date. I don't imagine for one second they are stringing you along. Anything completed from August onwards is generally considered to be the next year's model, so even if they don't make any GT4 RS in 2023, the last of 2022 production will likely be considered 2023 MY.The cars build was originally March

I had a moment of paranoia when I ordered my first 718 (probably August 2016 I guess) and the build slot got moved from December to January, then it all went quiet. Then mid Feb 2017 I got an urgent message to double check I was happy with the specification as it was about to be locked for build. Car turned up early May, which felt like a long wait. I even had a call with the Sales Manager at one point to make sure the salesman wasn't messing me around. He wasn't.
Most recent one took about the same time, but with less cold sweats as I have a better feel for how it works now. About 10 months from order to delivery again. Spec freeze was about 8 months from date of order, with less than a week's notice that I needed to get it set in stone. Car turned up about 7 weeks later, and a little earlier than the dealer had last predicted.
If it helps any, I'd be doing my crust with anxiety over a GT4 RS order. I'm extremely jealous of those that have made the leap and been able to get a deposit paid, they really do seem an awesome thing.

The bolded bit is the concerning part for you. July would not be a MY23 car as Liam says above. September onwards, after the August shutdown and factory refit, is usually when it occurs but with the talk being that no MY23 GT4s will be built it doesn't fit with other info.The cars build was originally March

The "new order" bit in particular doesn't sound good.
I'd definitely have a chat with your SA and see if your order has been moved to July or cancelled. If it's the latter, they might not get a replacement allocation based on what the word on the street is...

Quick update from me, as of yesterday evening none of the original dates on the system have changed/moved (if the dates are to be believed my car should have entered the dealership!), but there's still no sign/update of the car.
The dealer has once again confirmed to me that they have been told to continue ignoring the dates on the internal system because they are not being updated, and he said he has had several orders physically turn up this week even though the system says they have not yet been built!
Oh and he also reiterated what he said previous (he is in one of the 5 Porsche Retail groups if that makes any difference) about MY23, in that he's been told there won't be one for the GT4.
